NBA Update: Second Half Analysis: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Phoenix Suns
The Phoenix Suns were leading by the end of first half with one point, 50-49. 
Third Quarter
Vince Carter got an assist from Grant Hill to clinch the first two points of the third quarter to take the lead further for the Suns, 52-49. Kobe Bryant clinched a three pointer to tie the scores at 52-all. Bryant clinched another running bank shot to steal
the lead at 10:46 on the clock, 54-52. Robin Lopez committed the first second half foul and Bryant took flee with the free throw provided. Hill rebound the ball after Derek Fisher missed a three pointer attempt at 10:22. Bynum committed a shooting foul and
Marcin Gortat clinched two of the three free throws provided to the Suns. Suns had a team rebound right after.
Bynum dunked with Ron Artest’s assist, flying past the Suns, 63-55. Channing Frye clinched a three pointer as Nash gave him an assist to make it close to the Lakers, 58-63. Frye committed a technical foul after one of his personal fouls to give the Lakers
a free throw that Bryant trounced easily. Artest’s three pointer at 3:32 on the clock gave the Lakers a six point lead over the Suns, 71-65. Hill committed a shooting foul as the quarter was taking its last breaths and Bryant made one of the two free throws
provided to take a seven point lead over them, 80-73.
Fourth Quarter
Mickael Pietrus clinched a three pointer at the very start, edging the Suns closer to Lakers, 76-80. Bynum made a jump shot to step further with two more points. Hakim Warrick slam dunked to add two more to the box score with Goran Dragic’s assist. Lamar
Odom grabbed a layup shot to score 10. Dragic answered with a three pointer as Frye produced an assist at 8 minutes left in game, bridging across to 81-86. Pietrus rebound the ball after Blake missed a three pointer attempt and he also failed to grab the three
pointer attempt.
Bynum came forward with a layup shot and right after that he committed a shooting foul that earned Phoenix one point, 82-88. Shannon Brown made a reverse layup shot as Odom gave him an assist to roll ahead with 90 points. Carter’s three pointer was followed
by Gortat’s shooting foul for shooting; Brown dished out both the free throws provided. The Lakers edged 99 over the Suns, 92, with just 45.4 seconds left in game as Fisher made a jump shot assisted by Bryant. There was a Suns’ team timeout after that point.
Gortat was replaced by Frye right after. Frye managed to pull a three pointer for the faltering Suns but the buzzer rang and the game closed giving the Lakers a four point lead over the Suns, 99-95.
