NBA Updates – Charlotte Bobcats win 123-105 against the Phoenix Suns
The Charlotte Bobcats played the Phoenix Suns at the Time Warner Cable Arena this Saturday. The match was played in front of 16,000 fans that came in support of their respective teams. The match saw the scores tied 2 times while the lead
changed hands 1 time. The match that lasted 2 hours and 17 minutes saw the Charlotte Bobcats finally win the match 123-105 at the end.
The first quarter of the match saw the Phoenix Suns open the scoring. They bagged a two pointer from Channing Frye. The Charlotte Bobcats responded to this with a basket by Gerald Wallace that levelled the scores.
The quarter moved on swiftly for both the teams with the home team coming up with the baskets regularly as did the Phoenix Suns. The game saw Goran Dragic score most of the points during the quarter for the Phoenix Suns as they ended the
quarter with 8 points alongside Frye who scored 7 points. Both the players displayed excellent abilities on court and were seen dunking the ball regularly.
For the Charlotte Bobcats it was DJ Augustin who bagged 9 points during the course of the quarter. The Charlotte Bobcats led at the end of the first quarter as they scored 30 points compared to the 25 of the Phoenix Suns.
The 2nd quarter of the match saw both the teams’ battle out a tough match as the Phoenix Suns scored 26 points in comparison to the 25 of the Charlotte Bobcats. Grant Hill and Jason Richardson were the main players
for the Phoenix Suns as they ended the quarter with 13 and 8 points respectively.
For the Charlotte Bobcats Augustin continued with the attacking form he showed and was helped by Stephen Jackson who ended the quarter with 12 points to his name. The quarter ended with the Bobcats leading 55-51.
The 3rd quarter of the match saw the Charlotte Bobcats put the foot on the gas and they absolutely nailed it by scoring 34 points in the quarter. The Phoenix Suns managed to score only 23 points as the Bobcats led
89-74 at the end of the quarter.
During the quarter the standout player for the Phoenix Suns was Josh Childress who scored 7 points in the quarter while Jackson continued with the dominating performance to take his personal score to 21 points at the end of the quarter.
The final quarter of the match saw the Phoenix Suns scoring 31 points but they couldn’t stop Charlotte Bobcats as they scored 34 points to win the match 123-105.
For the Phoenix Suns, it was Dragic who bagged 17 points at the end while Boris Diaw scored quite a few times in the final quarter for the Charlotte Bobcats to take his personal score to 26 points.
