NBA Updates – Miami Heat versus the Los Angeles Clippers review and player ratings
Los Angeles Clippers hosted the Miami Heat this Wednesday at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles. The match was with an attendance of around 20,000 fans with the lead changing hands once and scored tied on 2 occasions.
The first quarter of the match turned out to be the difference between the two sides as the Clippers absolutely thrashed Miami Heat scoring 44 points in the first quarter compared to the 26 points of the Heat. The last three quarters of the match saw Miami
Heat win on points but they couldn’t cover up the gap that Clippers opened up in the first quarter.
During the second quarter, Miami scored 32 points while Clippers scored 24. In the third quarter, Heat again led on points with 20 and Clippers scoring 18. The final quarter saw Heat bagging 27 points while Clippers scored 25 points. The score at the end
of the match was 111-105 in favour of the Los Angeles Clippers and despite the three big names in the team, Miami failed to capitalize again a weak team if we compare them with the likes of Lakers and Oklahoma.

Miami Heat overall: 7.5
The weak defence early in the first quarter proved to be costly as they took their opposition easy and in the end resulted in them losing the game.
LeBron James: 7.5
King James tried desperately to make the comeback but the gap opened up by the Clippers was too much. During the match, LeBron made 3 blocks. Coupled with this were 6 assist s and 8 rebounds. At the end of the match, Lebron James ended on a decent 27 points.
Chris Bosh: 7.5
The tall and lanky figure of Chris Bosh should have done more than he did at the start of the match. The slow start cost Heat the match. During the course of the match Bosh emerge with 26 points. Coupled with this were 2 blocks, 4 assists and 13 rebounds.
Dwayne Wade: 8.5
Dwayne Wade was one player who gave it everything from the start till the very end of the match. Dwayne Wade ended with match high 31 points. Added to this were 2 blocks, 5 assists and 7 rebounds.
Mario Chalmers: 7
Mario Chalmers played only 20 minutes of the match but his contribution was somewhat helpful as the Heat were struggling to find their way back into the match. Chalmers chipped in with 12 points with 1 block, 3 assists and 4 rebounds.
Zydrunas Ilguaskas: 5
Zydrunas Ilguaskas was very disappointing as the only things he managed to do was come up with 6 rebounds and just 2 points which is a bit too less for a centre. The night started poorly for him but the end was no better.
Los Angeles Clippers: 8
The tactic to catch the Miami Heat off guard and attacking right from the started worked for the Clippers as they outsmarted the Heat. This resulted in the Clippers emerging as 111-105 winners of the match.
Ryan Gomez: 7
Ryan Gomez came up with a decent performance in the match scoring 11 points with 2 assists and 8 rebounds which helped the Clippers to stay in touch in the later quarters of the match.
Blake Griffin: 8.5
The youngster certainly took the game to the Heat which in the end resulted in a win for the Heat. The second half saw some good sides of his game as the scored 24 points with 14 rebounds and 6 assists.
DeAndre Jordan: 6
Though there wasn’t match to talk about from this player but his 5 points with 4 points and an assist are worth mentioning.
Eric Gordon: 9
One of the elements whose 26 points with a block, 6 assists and 5 rebounds proved to be a difference between the two sides was Eric Gordon. Creating chances and scoring regularly were the main essence of his game during the night.
Baron Davis: 9
Another player who played an important role as the Los Angeles Clippers won the match. Baron Davis ended his night with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 1 block.
