NBA Updates – New Orleans Hornets win 75-71 against Sacramento Kings

were levelled 6 times as well.
Both teams were slow off the blocks, the main reason for this was the fact that the defence of both the teams was very strong, and proved to be a brick wall in front of the weak offence that both teams had on offer.
Though both the teams tried hard to score baskets, the score was 16-14 in favour of the Kings at the end of the first quarter.
The 2nd quarter saw both teams approach the game with an attacking mentality, which resulted in the points scored in the quarter going up dramatically. The defence was not given as much preference in the quarter.
Both the teams were seen displaying brilliant skills while combining with each other and in the scoring from shot all around the court. The quarter saw the New Orleans Hornets scoring 25 points while the Sacramento Kings scored 23 points. The quarter ended
with both the teams’ level on 39 points each as Trevor Ariza scored a three pointer on the buzzer for the Hornets.
The 3rd quarter was a mixture of defensive and attacking approach adopted by both the teams. They attacked but the main concentration was on defence. Both the teams were well aware of the fact that if the other team was given space they would
run away and bag points and eventually win the match.
The quarter saw both teams come up strong again in defence as well offence, which resulted in Hornets leadings by just 3 points at the end of the quarter.
During the quarter, the Hornet scored 20 points while the Sacramento Kings bagged 17 points with the score 59-56 in favour of the away side.
The final quarter was anticipated to be a tight a low scoring quarter. This was certainly the case as the Hornets scored 16 points during the quarter while the Sacramento Kings scored 15 points. The New Orleans Hornets won the match 75-71 by a slim 4-point
advantage.
The match saw David West of the New Orleans Hornets emerging as the top scorer with 17 points with Donte Greene of the Kings following him closely with 15 points.
