NBA Updates – Orlando Magic win 90-86 against the Indiana Pacers
The Orlando Magic played against the Indiana Pacers at the Conseco Fieldhouse, Indianapolis this Saturday. The match saw around 14,000 fans come in support of their respective teams as the match lasted for 2 hours and 21 minutes. During
the course of the match the lead changed hands 20 times while the game was tied on 6 occasions.
The match saw the first quarter being won by the Orlando Magic in terms of points scored as they managed to score 29 points compared to the 26 of the Indiana Pacers.
Both the teams came up with quite a show as they dominated the play for quite a few minutes and utilized them to the fullest. During the course of the period, the Orlando Magic saw the main contribution coming from Jameer Nelson who bagged
6 points and was helped by players like Vince Carter and company.
On the other hand the Indiana Pacers saw points coming from all the players with Roy Hibbert being the stand out player who scored 8 points during the course of the quarter.
The 2nd quarter of the match saw the Indiana Pacers shift the momentum in their favour as they scored 26 points against the 20 points of Orlando Magic. The lead changed hands at the end of the 2nd quarter
with the Indiana Pacers leading 52-49.
The quarter saw Danny Granger score several baskets to his score to 9 points and put the Indiana Pacers in the lead. The Pacers also received a boost from Hibbert as he continued to score and took his personal points to 17 at the end of
the quarter. Orlando Magic saw points scored by Dwight Howard and Nelson who proved to be the main players during the quarter but they couldn’t stop the Magic’s from falling behind.
The 3rd quarter of the match saw both the teams adopt defensive mentality. Orlando Magic was the more successful of the two teams as they scored 22 points and restricted the opposing to scoring only 14 points during
the course of the quarter.
Dwight Howard, Quentin Richardson and Rashid Lewis were all among the scores in the quarter as they took their scores to 11, 8 and 9 respectively.
The final quarter was also a very tough one with Indiana Pacers scoring 20 points in and Orlando Magic scoring 19 points.
The final quarter saw points coming from all around for both the teams but it was the Orlando Magic who won the match 90-86 at the end with Dwight Howard being the top scorer with 25 points being followed by Indiana Pacers Roy Hibbert
who bagged 19 points.
