NBA Updates – Toronto Raptors win 120-105 against the Cleveland Cavaliers

Toronto Raptors versus the Cleveland Cavaliers was the first game of Wednesday. The match was played at the Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio with around 20,000 fans coming to witness the match. The match lasted for two hours and fourteen minutes with
lead changing hands 5 times and the scores were tied on 6 occasions.
The game saw the home team, Cleveland Cavaliers pumped at the start of the match. Added to this was the backing of the home fans that enabled them to come up with a dominating performance in the quarter. Not only were the Cavs outplaying the Toronto Raptors
in the offence but defence as well.
They didn’t allow the Raptors any space to work. The result of this was that Cleveland out scored Toronto Raptors in the first period 38-26. This came as a shock to many but the Toronto Raptors camp didn’t look bothered about the score and were confident
that they would win the game tonight.
This is exactly what happened at the start of the second quarter. The winds seemed to change directions, the Toronto Raptors came out with a very attacking up front, and when it came to defence they ruled over there too.
Scoring points on counter attacks and making turn-overs regularly, Toronto Raptors scored 40 points in the second quarter compared to 25 points of the Cleveland Cavaliers. The score at the end of the second quarter was 66-63 in favour of the Raptors.
After the half time, the third quarter began with both teams taking the games easily and not over doing as overdoing backfired in the first half. Slow and steady attacks were made by both teams. The defence of both teams worked really hard and this resulted
in less points being scored in the quarter.
During the third quarter, Toronto Raptors scored 24 points while Cleveland Cavaliers scored 21 points. The score at the end of the quarter was 90-84 in favour of the Raptors.
The final quarter saw Toronto Raptors step up their game a little offensive. As a result, they managed to extend the lead even further as the match ended. During the final quarter, Cleveland Cavalier scored 21 points while Toronto Raptors scored 30 points.
The match ended with Toronto Raptors winning the match 120-105. Antawn Jamison of the Cleveland Cavaliers was the top scorer of the match with 32 points and Andrea Bargnan of Toronto Raptors followed with 25 points.
