NBA ousted records 2010-11 (Part 1)

This upcoming NBA season, with team changes and players all ready to meet the challenges, there are some records that can very well be broken.
Some of the records are individual and some are team. The most dominating and urging thing that will push players towards personal and team glory is that they all want to prove that Miami Heat are not insurmountable even with the
super trio of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and LeBron James.
Let’s take a look at the records that are expected to be broken
Most free throw attempts in a single quarter in the regular season
With the referees supporting players who are on the offence and technical foul rate expected to increase this season, we are on road for this record to be broken. The record is held by Vince Carter who managed to come up with a
total of 16 free throws.
Added to this is the fact that big players like Kobe Bryant get star treatment and tend to come up with a lot of foul calls. Some experts even say that “don’t breathe on Kobe Bryant or it’s a foul.”
Kobe Bryant is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the NBA, but at times he gets some fouls calls in his favour that according to the rule books aren’t fouls. Keeping this in mind, Kobe Bryant is a player who can break
Vince Carter’s record and establish a new one with 18 free throws during a single quarter.
Most three-pointers made in a regular season
The Ashton Kutcher look-alike player, Kyle Korver is expected to break this record. The record is currently held by Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics who manages to bag 269 three pointers.
Kyle Korver is one of the unique players in the NBA who has quick, beautiful and successful shooting abilities. Now that he will be playing for the Chicago Bulls, alongside Carlos Boozer will help him increase his shooting abilities
and statistics. The extravagant shooter has all lined up for this season, as last year he was able to maintain the best average for three point shooting during the regular season (53.6).  This average is one of the best that the NBA has seen and that too in
a somewhat less talented Utah Jazz side. This player has the talent, the shooting as well as the supporting cast now. Players like Carlos Boozer and Derrick Rose will often find him in open position and with the killer shooting skills he could nail a lot of
three pointers.
In order to break the record and manage 275 three pointers as expected, Korver has to come up with massive shots and a lot of minutes on court. But with the talent and performance he showed last season, he can very well manage
to write his name in the history books.
Most three-pointers made in a single game of the regular season
Now that it is almost certain that Carmelo Anthony will be leaving the Denver Nuggets, J.R Smith could see an increase in court minutes. Smith is a player flooded with talent and with the IQ of basketball that he possesses, Smith
can surely fit in the offensive role that Carmelo would leave.
His career has sometimes been controversial at times, but still he can break the record of 12 three-pointers in a regular season game set by Kobe Bryant and Donyell Marshall. The simple answer as to why he will manage in doing
so is simple; J.R Smith has never seen so many minutes on court and once he plays this much; he will according to analysts go nuts, that means massive shooting and huge success rate. This fabulous three point shooter is expected to bag no less than 13 three-pointers
on his day.
But one thing that might go against him is that he gets frustrated very quickly. If Smith manages to control this, he can surely break the record with relative ease.
