NBA questions with the deadline approaching – Part 1
It is every teams dream to make it into the NBA Finals. Even if the team’s chances of making it into the Finals are slim but still the coaches give their teams hope and encourage them to play hard and make them believe that they have a very good chance of
making it into the Finals.
The trade deadline would end on the 24th February 2011 and with less than a month left; the trade market has a lot going on with teams trying to make moves to make them better during the remaining part of the season.
There are some teams that need some changes in their roster while some don’t need any changes, all they need is surety that there players will last all season long. They have the fire power to win games but not confident as to whether they can be healthy
into the remaining part of the season raises a few eye brows as to where or not they need new players to full fill their spaces while they sit out?
In the following few articles we will be discussing some of the challenges or questions that come across a few teams as the trade deadline is fast approaching.
Boston Celtics, Can they stay healthy and last all season long?
The Boston Celtics squad is already a very talented and skillful one so they don’t need to make any major deals. The only big question ahead of them is the fact that whether or not they can stay healthy for the remaining part of the season given the aged
squad of the Celtics.
Shaquille O’Neal, the diesel is in no shape of playing each and every game of the remaining season. Currently he is 38 years old and things aren’t getting any better while he missed the last game against the Phoenix Suns due to a hip injury.
Kendrick Perkins is another element of the Boston Celtics victories game in and out. However, he is still recovering from the injury that he sustained. It’s going to take some time for him to get going and once he does, trust me he can be a massive destructing
force. Kevin Garnett has also recently recovered from an injury and he needs to be careful with the rest of the season remaining. Kevin Garnett is among some of the most injury prone players in the NBA but Boston Celtics can’t afford to lose him AGAIN!
What Boston Celtics need to do is that they need to give rest to their big players time to time so that when they make it into the play-offs and when it is crunch time, they can perform to the best of their abilities.
Will New Jersey Nets get Carmelo Anthony?
There had been a lot of talks which once said that Carmelo Anthony will most probably move to the New Jersey Nets. However, soon after the news broke out there was another breaking news that said that New Jersey Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov was no longer
interesting in bringing Melo to the Nets.
Though people say that there are talks of him starting again as to him moving to the New Jersey Nets but the deal has almost no chance of talking places. New Jersey Nets owner is among some of the richest in the business and he is a man of his word. Therefore,
it highly unlikely for Carmelo to move to New Jersey as Mikhail would want to focus on the free agency.
