NBA questions with the deadline approaching – Part 2
Will New York Knicks win the race in bagging Carmelo Anthony?

Carmelo Anthony is undoubtedly the biggest thing in the NBA currently with several questions flying about his future with the trade deadline fast approaching. Though New Jersey Nets are out of contention, New York Knicks are the next team that desperately
needs Carmelo Anthony.
The greatest thing in the trading block currently in Carmelo Anthony is wanted by the Knicks and this is not any secret. The biggest question is that whether or not the Knicks come up with a deal with the Denver Nuggets to sign this player. Though it looked
as if that other teams might help them to seal the deal but unfortunately this hasn’t been the case so far.
Carmelo Anthony is one of the most skillful players that the NBA has come across and the player of his class needs to content for the deadline. Though there aren’t any statements from the player that he wants to be out of Denver but that might soon be coming
due to the Carmelo’s repeated statements about playing in the NBA Finals.
New York Knicks would have to come up with the best and yet suitable deal which doesn’t harm them. If they want him at any cost then the future of Amar’e Stoudemire might be at stake otherwise the best option for the Knicks is to wait for the free agency
as the Denver Nuggets are in no mood of dealing Carmelo Anthony just yet.
Can Philadelphia 76ers play the way they have been so far in the season?

Philadelphia 76ers is another one of the teams that needs no drastic changes rather any changes at all. One of the reasons to this is that their roster is diverse and talent and the other reason for this is that they can’t afford to sign any new players.
Though Philadelphia 76ers tried to come up with something during the course of the trade time period but they failed to catch the attention of many. The 76ers put two of their players Andre Iguodala and Elton Brand open for deals. However, none of the teams
seemed to be in interesting in signing of the players so their try accumulate some finances before the trade deadline came failed. Therefore, it doesn’t look like the Philadelphia 76ers would sign any players.
After having a terrible start to the season which saw them winning 3 games and losing 13 games, the Philadelphia 76ers have been able to come up with some splendid performances which currently puts them in strong position maintaining a 16-12 record after
that. Evan Turner is starting to find form and within a few games time this player will be at the best of his form which ensures that there will be more success of the 76ers. They have started to gel well together and as the games keep on coming the team tends
to get stronger and stronger.
Currently, the Philadelphia 76ers is placed in the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference, which is one place above the final play-off position. If they continue to play they have been so far, the 76ers have a very good chance of finishing in the
top half of the Eastern Conference.
This is all that a team wants, making it into the play-offs which the Philadelphia 76ers have a very strong chance of doing. But after making it through to the play-offs, Philadelphia 76ers surely need to step up their game if they want to make it to the
NBA Finals and give other competitors a tough time.
