NBA updates - Best small forwards
Today the topic that is under discussion is of the best small forwards in the NBA. The small forward is one of the key positions in the NBA and provides the team with most of the points in a game. However, when it comes to the fact about the best in the NBA as the small forwards you have a list that comprises of LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant to choose from.
Luol Deng
The Chicago Bulls in the building phase have come up with good signings this season like Carlos Boozer and have one of the best small forwards in the business in the form of Luol Deng further strengthening their squad. Last year’s sensation, Luol put up some consistent performances and became one of the players who the Bulls could depend on. Being calm and having a lot of patience accompanied with loads of skill Luol isn’t in a hurry on the offense but strikes lethally. Luol has the mind required for a great players, he knows when to pass, when to shoot and when to drive.
Danny Granger
Danny Granger of the Indiana Pacers is one player who is one of the underrated players in the NBA. However, some experts say that it is due to the fact that he plays for an underrated team, the Indiana Pacers while some say he still has some more years before becoming one of the greats. Experts say that he is one player who can said to be a born scorer possessing the ability of great range and the skill to score from anywhere on the court. Being one of the great defenders of the game, Granger takes his skills to becoming the best small forward in the business too. One of the smooth and tall players, Granger can carry the ball from one end of the court to the other and come up with spectacular passes like a point guard resulting in dominating the game.
Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma Thunder City comes in next with his impressive and consistent performances last season. Experts say that Durant is one of the young and talented players in the NBA and bound to reach great heights. But for now he lies behind Carmelo and LeBron but experts are of the view that with the passage of time, Durant will become one of the best and challenge the positions of Carmelo and others in the future. According to experts Durant has become of the most deadly scorers in the NBA with a formidable average of 30.1 points per game last season. Though he is one of the physical players in the game and has great ability to drive, Durant has impressive three point shooting abilities. Coming to the skills that this player has, he is one of those NBA players who has got the talent to show the extra and spectacular skills those make him dunk jumping over the defence.
Carmelo Anthony
Carmelo Anthony is second in the list while some experts say that he should be heading the list of small forwards. Nonetheless, Carmelo is a terrific player without any doubt. Experts say that despite being one of the good scorers of the game he also has the abilities and skills to play in other positions. The power play that he has to offer makes him one of the good guards of the game too. The fast release of the ball along with accuracy makes him one of the most successful players while dribbling, coming of the screen or in the open court.  Carmelo is another player who has the capability to score from anywhere on the court and unlike LeBron and others he doesn’t rely on his shooting only that makes him one of the best in the business. One thing goes against him is the fact that this player is an average passer and not a great one.
LeBron James
LeBron James without a doubt heads the list being one of the most complete packages of basketball in the NBA history. James has great deal of diversity in his game. Though being physically very strong, LeBron does not depend on it using the skill, speed and quickness in his game to beat the defensive and come in point scoring positions and then absolutely nailing them. According to experts and reports, LeBron is one of the great passers in the game and is a hard competitor who put in his best.
All the above mentioned players are good in their respective teams and experts say that the flaws that they have are covered by others that makes them a piece of the complete package in the NBA.
