NBA – who will be the best international player and coach next season?
International players who will take a leap into the stardom this season
There has never been a shortage of talented international players in the NBA. Over the past couple of seasons Dirk Nowitzki, the 2007 MVP of the league is among the most notable players.
Another one of the international players, who has excelled, is the Phoenix Suns key player, Steve Nash.
Manu Ginobilli and Tony Parker are also in the list, who managed to win the NBA title three times.
This year the USA team learned that basketball has reached new levels at the international stage. This has forced the USA team to take the game internationally seriously. The international stage is more competitive and strong than it has even been. This
year, the likely player to join the likes of above mentioned players is Tiago Splitter.
After managing to come up with three years of good international basketball, Tiago is now in the San Antonio Spurs. Another one of the international players, who will shine in the upcoming years is the point guard Ricky Rubio.
Last season Roddy Beaubois and Goran Dragic proved to the NBA world that playing international games helps you a lot when you join a league like NBA. Last season Dragic’s performance in game three against the Suns was one of the most impressive that the
NBA has seen. This season Tiago Splitter would be looking on following his steps that would result in him cementing his place among some of the most successful international players.
Who will headline the next Hall of Fame class?
The last two years of the Hall of Fame have given us some of the big names in the sport being inducted. Some of the most talented and deserving players were inducted in the Hall of Fame that included Michael Jordan (2009), Scottie Pippen, and Karl Malone
(2010).
Now with the 2011 season on the verge of beginning, we have some new candidates that will be in hope of making their way into the Hall of Fame. Among these is Reggie Miller, who has a very strong chance of being inducted this year.
Another one of the players who will be looking to make his way with an outside chance is Dennis Rodman. Though Rodman had rash behaviour, but with the rebounding abilities that he has, he can surely be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Not only this, Rodman
was able to contribute a lot during Michael Jordan’s final time with the Chicago Bulls.
Can Tracy McGardy return to the All-Star form that he once maintained?
Tracy McGardy was one of the most talented and consistent players in the NBA during the 2002-04 time period. His individual brilliance led him to two consecutive scoring titles in 2003 and 2004. During the course of the two seasons, Tracy managed to average
32.1 points per game, 6.5 rebounds per game and 5.5 assists per game.
Known as Mr. Glass for injuries he suffered at the most crucial stages, he could never recover and become the player he once was after his micro fracture surgery in 2008. Tracy was once a player who you could bet on scoring 50 points per game every time
he went on court.
During the past season, he showed signs of the player he once was for the New York Knicks, but his health crumbled again.
Who will be the coach of the year?
Last year, it was the Oklahoma City Thunders Head Coach Scott Brooks, who won the award for transforming this team into a major contender. What was really appreciable was the fact that he turned the tables in just one season and brought up a strong team
from a 23 winning game team.
As NBA fans, you must be wondering why Phil Jackson hasn’t been able to win this award? The answer to this is that the award is based on the regular season and not the NBA title wins.
This season Tom Thibodeau is an interesting option for the title. Coupled with this is the fact that he has the most talented roster in the Eastern Conference for his coaching debut. A 50 plus win with players like Derrick Rose, Carlos Boozer and Joakim
Noah is surely possible and can help Tim win the Coach of the Year award.
