NBA’s most dominating players in history (Part 3)
The list for unstoppable and dominating players of all times continues as we are looking to discuss some of the best men the franchise has seen. There are current players, who are of the same calibre but due to the fact that they are relatively new, they can’t be included. According to experts, players who are on the same road need to have some statistics and achievements backing them before they can be included just like all others in the list.
Jerry West and Elgin Baylor are the next players on the list. They form one of the most dynamic duos in the history of basketball in the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1960’s. Both the players were extremely talented and could score many points in every match. West was one of the dominating people and not only this but he was the face of the NBA. West was not only the best player in the league at the moment but came up with individual records at the time. These records were to be broken later. This amazing player averaged 30 points per game four times during the course of the regular season, once during his second season in the league.
Not only this but this spectacular player was able to maintain an average of 29.1 points per game in the playoffs which was the best of the time. Now this record has been passed by players like Michael Jordan and LeBron James. This made him the third best player in the list when it comes to playoff averages.  Experts say that if during the time he played, had a three pointer line existed, he would have been more dominating than he was and would have caused a lot of damage.
On the other hand, the other partner in the duo had a career best and record at the time score of 71 points in a game. The 1961-62 Season saw him average a career best of 38.3 points per game. Baylor being a dominating player was a 11-time NBA All-Star. This player was famous for his hanging jumpers and one of the unique shots in the NBA, the running back shot that made him the best in the business.
The list now comes to one of the most interesting, Kobe Bryant. Kobe has been the best scorer in the legue since the time of Michael Jordan. During a game against the Toronto Raptors in the 2005-06 Season, Kobe came up with one of the most dominating performances, scoring 81 points. Experts say that scoring these many points are more than enough to make him one of the most dominating players in the NBA. The 2006-07 Season saw this extravagant player score more than 50 points in four consecutive games, supporting the fact that he is one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA. These performances also included the 60 point mark in one of the games. His form guaranteed the fact that this player is not only a team leader but also a stand out performer. At the end of the season, this spectacular player was seen finishing with ten games where he finished with 50 or more points.
Kobe has not only been a successful player but has shown his loyalty to his team and experts say that he is one player who would stay in the Lakers till the very end. By staying at the Lakers, he will not only bring glory for the Lakers team but also for himself. In February of 2009 this splendid player was able to make the record for scoring most points in Madison Square Garden scoring 61 points.
