NBA’s most dominating players in history (Part 5)
The NBA has witnessed some great players that have made their mark on the league and the sport. We have discussed many great players already now reaching the end of the list now. The previously mentioned players have been the most dominating players of their times. There are two players left to mention on the list for the most dominating players in NBA history that started way back in 6th June 1946. The list depicts players who played with an element of being unstoppable.
The second position is occupied by the one of the true legends of the game, Wilt Chamberlain. According to experts he is one of the greatest players that the NBA has seen over the course of its history and has been able to establish several records. According to experts, those reports do not look to be broken in the near future. Some of them look to stay on the record list forever. The records that he has made include ones like averaging 50.4 points per game in a season and others that seem to be absolutely extravagant like being able to score at least 50 points in 118 regular season games.
One of the most famous records that this spectacular player has been able to establish is that of scoring 100 points in a single game. Experts say that this almost seems to be unbelievable as this record is equivalent to an NFL player scoring 10 touchdowns in one game. The only player who came close to breaking this record was Kobe Bryant, but he was 19 points short of this legendary player. Without a doubt this player was able to dominate the proceedings in the NBA for several years due to the immense amount of talent that he had, coupled with the fact he was very athletic and had superb strength. Though he wasn’t a good free throw shooter, his being on the court was more than enough to create an air of terror among opponents.
The top spot in the list is occupied by undoubtedly one of the greatest players in the NBA, Michael Jordan. Though Jordan has never been able to score 100 points in a game or average 50 points during a NBA season, he tops this list as the most dominating and unstoppable players in the history of the franchise.
This extravagant player was able to put on impressive performances from day he got into the NBA and was able to achieve an average of 28.2 points per game during the course of his rookie season. This according to experts isn’t possible now days in the NBA. The best average that this player has been able to achieve is that of 37.1 points per game. During the first part of his career this extravagant player was able to pass the defenders with ease and then finish the move with an acrobatic air time move.
Experts say that his ability to embarrass a player by leaping over him while he came in his line is what makes him the greatest player when it comes to domination and a player being unstoppable. However, as there are flaws in everybody’s game there was a flaw in his game too, that being of him developing one of the worst jumpers in the NBA. Experts say that though the rest of his game was almost a mirror image of being perfect but this jumper that he developed ended nowhere but at the bottom of the net.
Jordan is without a doubt one of the legends of the game and has left an example to follow for many and this is the reason why this player is remembered till now for not only his performances but also as a human being.
