NBA’s recent best performances (Part 1)
Total 12 games took place on Wednesday, 16 February, as 24 teams clashed and confronted their opposite teams on various arenas around the USA. Some teams took outstanding victories whereas the others faltered to fateful losses. Here is an overview of the
best performances of the night:
Howard’s whopping 32 points
Dwight Howard shined like a star in the victory. The Orlando centre scored 32 points and amazed everyone by grabbing 10 rebounds, eight of them offensive. The player has gone in a 25-for-31 shooting from the field in his previous two games. His team, Orlando
Magic entered All-Star break after thrashing the Washington Wizards 101-76.
NBA’s First Draft pick of the year 2010, John Wall later appreciated the player as he said, "In the third quarter, I thought Dwight did a dominant job. He just took over the game and got a big lead for his team."
Bargnani, game-high 38
Andrea Bargnani took a whopping surge as the player scored game-high 38 points in the loss. The player clinched career-high 5-of-6 three-pointers and went 15-for-26 from the field, dominating it for 39 minutes.
The C’s captain makes a comeback, 33 in 31
Paul Pierce’s aggressive game limited the New Jersey Nets from leading the Boston Celtics as they hit them hard with a 94-80 loss at TD Garden. The leading team’s captain made ten of his points in the opening period of the game and totalled a raging 31 points
in 33 minutes. The player helped in building a 15-point lead over the opposition very quickly. The C’s coach Doc Rivers appreciated the player’s bounce-back effort when he later said, "In the third quarter, I thought Dwight did a dominant job. He just took
over the game and got a big lead for his team."
Gasol’s amazing 30-20 against Cleveland
Pau Gasol’s steamy performance marked to be one of his season best. The two times NBA defending champ recorded 30 points and made season-high 20 rebounds in 41 minutes. He kept the game going for the Los Angeles Lakers when they were being pushed down by
the Cleveland Cavaliers who avenged their 55-point loss against them. The player was perfect from the free throw line and notched all 14 of his free throws in the game. Despite his efforts at keeping his team afloat, the Lakers drowned but Gasol still stood
a champion.
Prince’s journey to his whopping 25-11
Tayshaun Prince had a marvellous game for the Detroit Pistons. The player pulled out 25 points while going for 11 rebounds for the winners. The Pistons forward went 11-for-16 from the field and was seen throwing three of his four free throws in Detroit’s
big win.
