NBC's telecast of U.S. Women's Open will feature Sorenstam’s commentary
NBC will telecast the U.S. Women’s Open and the best part is that Annika Sorenstam will be a part of the commentators’ panel.
It has been announced that the great LPGA player will make her debut on the NBC’s coverage of the U.S. Women’s Open. This is great news for the golf fans, who will hear Sorenstam’s expert opinion for the first time.
She will join NBC commentator Dan Hicks and fellow analyst Dottie Pepper. Sorenstam will appear on the weekend coverage of the event.
The NBC duo will be at their station at the tower near the 18th hole. Sorenstam will join them for her expert opinion and game commentary.
Fans will hear Sorenstam giving her two cents about the third and the fourth rounds of the event. She is very familiar with the Blackwolf Run Golf Club and will talk about her golf experiences there.
Other reports to join the coverage are: Gary Koch, Roger Maltbie, Kay Cockerill and Jane Crafter.
In the same vein, Annika Sorenstam will be available on the Golf Channel throughout this week. She plans to participate in the channel’s news shows, including the coverage of the most anticipated event of 2012.
The 41-year-old star is one of the finest players in the history of women golf. She has won ninety tournaments during her professional career.
This is the highest number of titles ever won by a lady golfer. These include an amazing 72 LPGA events, ten of them were registered at major tournaments.
The U.S. Women’s Open is being held in the famous Blackwolf Run Golf Club located in Kohler, WI. This course has seen its fair share of top level golf tournaments.
