NBC coverage of the olympics is a JOKE!!!!?

They didn't show the 100m mens final last saturday and today decided to show volleyball when the mens 200m was on!!

THIS IS RIDICULOUS....WHY!!??

Did anyone watch it live on tv!??

  1. NBC's coverage is awful, but I saw the 100m final and 200m final on NBC, I'm just not sure which of their stations I had on.  Coverage is being broadcast on NBC, Telemundo, USA, MSNBC, CNBC and Oxygen.

    Edit:  Problem with the internet is NBC has gotten the ISPs to block any US originated IP address from accessing live footage from BBC, CBC or Australian television online.  If it's not on NBC or their site then you're not going to get it live.

    Edit:  I'm really not sure which I was watching, but I don't think it was live because the 100m and 200m were on while I was at work.  I remember seeing the semis for each live though.

  5. I think they're doing just fine, because of the online coverage.  

    For the first time, I can see all the sports I love but never got to see:  Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, fencing, bicycle time trial.  Better still, I can see them when I want, prelims and all.

    Network coverage panders to the drooling masses, so I've pretty much avoided it.

    P.S.  I never understood the appeal of the 100 and 200.  They're so short as to be meaningless.  

  6. In America, you have seemingly no way to watch it live, unless you are a super hacker of the internet and are able to bypass IP checks or turn satellites to view other postings or channels that aired it from other countries.

    Yes, we have said it many times, NBC and their bias is a ridiculous joke.

  7. It wasn't live on NBC.  I chatted with my friend and he cursed like a sailor.  Everyone watched the best and most exciting event live and he had to read about it and look for youtube clips.

    The 90,000 crowd in Beijing sang happy birthday to him after he won.
