NCAA Football 09 on a PAL PS3 - shows in black and white???

I imported ncaa 09 from the states to play on my PAL playstation 3. The game itself runs fine, but it only shows up in black and white!? I had the same problem with the demo. My TV is a Wharfedale one if that helps - I think it's a 50hz TV (no HD). Also, the Madden 09 demo from the USA playstation store works fine (ie. full colour) if that makes any difference. I really appreciate and look forward to your replies, helpful people!!!! x

I live in a PAL country: New Zealand.

The game shows black and white because it's in NTSC format, USA is an NTSC country, and Australia, England and New Zealand are PAL.

Sounds like you have an old TV, because you're TV dooesn't support NTSC. Some TV ( non HD ) can play PAL and NTSC.

If you wanna play your NTSC game, you need to buy a new TV ( not necessarily HD ) that supports NTSC and PAL format.

Most of my games are from USA but they work fine as I have an HD monitor ;-)

Us games are in NTSC format, you need aPAL format games, they use diffrnet video technolgies, ie differnet resoltions frame rates and a few diffrnces in the signal too. Only PAL gmaes will work properly on a PAL PS3.
