NCAA vs. NFL football ?

Theoretically, what would happen if every year (let's say sometime in March) the NFL/Superbowl champs would play an exhibition game against the NCAA Div 1-A/BCS champs.

Over the years, which would win more often, the college team or the NFL team ? and why ?

  1. No contest, Any NFL team would smoke any college team. Bigger guys on nfl, more experience, better players than college. even the worst team of the nfl would beat the best NCAA team.

  2. Do you really need to ask?

  3. God, this question is asked too much...The pro team would kill the college team every time...literally and figuratively...The pros outweigh the college players by roughly 50 pounds or more

Yes, even the lowly Miami Dolphins would smoke Southern Cal, Ohio State, LSU, Florida, or any other elite college team

  4. Well to be honest, teams like the 04' Trojans could possibly provide serious competition to a lower tier NFL team, because mainly, the 04' USC roster was filled with current NFL players, so yes, given the right circumstances, a college team could hold it's own against a pro team.

  5. the nfl would win because they are more experienced and stronger

in fact nfl players are better than college players in almost everything

  6. You ask who would win more games? That is not even a legitimate question in that you are inferring that the best team in college football could beat a good NFL nor beat the worst team in the NFL and the NCAA team wouldn't even win one game let alone any games. The difference between college ball and pro ball is so great that it is amazing. Try to think back in the draft this year and free agency signings and how many players from the #1 ranked team in the NCAA got drafted and/or got signed in the NFL.....what......two or three? And then of those players, how many will not be cut at the end of the four game pre-season and actually make the cut??

Please....please post a legitimate question on here next time and I will always answer it properly.

  7. look at the numbers.  How many college players even make the pros? Even off  the best teams only a few each year.

Even if age and size were the same it would be like a champion team playing an all star team that has had time to practice together.  Being the best team is inferior to having the best players at every position playing as a team.

  8. NFL would win more ... they're more experienced, they're bigger, they're better coached ...

  9. They used to do it. It was played every year in Chicago and it was called the College All Star Game. The NFL won every year.

  10. It wouldnt be fair, the NCAA guys are 21 at the oldest and some NFL guys are 34.  The NFL would smoke NCAA anyday

  11. if the super bowl champs played at the top of their game, the college team would be down 50 at halftime, even if the worst nfl team played the best college team the nfl team would probably win...people seem to underestimate the difference between the pro and college games, it's a huge gap

  12. I would have to agree NFL

  13. NFL

think about ti some college running back running into J.Peppers

some college qb trying to throw deep and R.Harrison would be alway there to int

  14. NFL Easily, Once they enter the NFL as rookies they don't have as much muscle as 2nd year and 3rd year NFL players. Year by year they get bigger and stronger, so the NCAA teams would be getting hurt.

  15. Well, in 2004, Aubur could have beaten ANY american football team. They were THAT good. But they were kept out of the BCS title game. Pro would win most of the time, but you'd be surpried how good some college teams are!
