Question:

NCL Cruise OnBoard Cabin Credit?

We will be on the NCL Pearl in December and will be getting a $100 On Board credit. Can we use this credit to apply to a ship sponsored excursion charge at anyone of the ports we stop at??? e.g. Their price to Virgin Gorda Baths & return is $59 per person. So, if answer is in the affirmative, we would only have to pay the difference of $18 for this excursion. Thoughts or experience with this please! Thanks.

  1. Like all cruise lines, everything you "purchase" on-board is charged to your on-board account, which you will need to set-up with a credit card prior to sailing.  If you currently have an NCL reservation, you can go to www.ncl.com right now and pre-register for boarding, and set-up your account.

No matter what you purchase on-board, a drink, photographs, a spa treatment, an excursion, something from the gift shop, etc. . . . it all goes onto your account.

On the last night of your cruise, an account statement will magically appear in your cabin, listing all the purchases you have made (check this carefully for errors!!).  Your $100.00 credit will be deducted from that total.

I hope this information is helpful - bon voyage!

  2. Yes, you can do that once you are onboard, not before cruising. You will pay the differences with Visa, MasterCard...etc. NCL is kind of flexible on helping its clients to redeem the credit. Bon Voyage.
