  1. NCL is more low key than the others. I like eating when I feel like it. You still have core hours at the main restaurants but it's better than a scheduled seating. The Jewel is a great ship with 15 or so restaurants. The staff is very friendly. Just ask for what you want. Room service is 24/7 and free. If you want half portions or second servings, just ask, they are free. Don't like something, send it back. They aim to please. If you have special dietary problems, tell them at the beginning of the trip. They'll accommodate you.

  2. Go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Reviews", then read the comments from the pros and, especially, "Member Reviews".

Never sailed on NCL [and never will], but they have their fans and detractors.  Generally, it sounds like they're a small step down from Carnival and Royal in terms of quality of service and food.

  3. We went on n.c.l. it was great. The service was top notch and the activities were very diverse... No they are not as high classed as r.c.c.l. but they are very nice and the workers treat you right... What more do you need???
