<p><strong>NCVF Collegiate Club Championships set to take place in Kansas City – Volleyball news</strong></p>
<p>The double gender competition of 2012 National Collegiate Volleyball Federation (NCVF) Collegiate Club Championship is set to begin on Thursday, April 5.</p>
<p>The Bartle Hall in City Convention Centre of Kansas City is prepared to receive a record of number of 360 men’s and women’s teams, which will compete in nine divisions. The three-day competition will cover its length from April 5-7 and some cracking fights
are expected.</p>
<p>The USA Volleyball (USAV) provides full support and coordination to the National Collegiate Volleyball Federation in order to run the show. A total of 192 teams have been registered for the men’s competition, while 168 women’s teams will take part in the
volleyball scrimmage in Kansas City this year.</p>
<p>The men’s division is composed of 36 Division I teams, 48 Division I-AA squads, and 24 Division II teams. Furthermore, Division I-AAA and Division III will be represented by 24 teams apiece. On the other hand, the female section will have 48 Division IAA,
48 Division I, 36 Division IAAA, and 36 Division II teams on board.</p>

<p>According to the set formula of the NCVF, the matches will progress in best-of-three rally score frames. It means the first two sets will played to 25 points, while the final set will be of 15 points.</p>
<p>The NCVF, which is the national governing body for organized collegiate club volleyball competitions, is happy about the way things are going. There has been a considerable increase in the number of the teams in last two year. The first event of NCVF Championship
was attended by 266 teams in 2010, while the next year the number increased to 336. This year 70 more college clubs have joined the competition.</p>
<p>The USAV and NCVF are optimistic about the success of the upcoming event.</p>
