The 23-year-old midfielder has agreed to join the Rotterdammers in the summer after snubbing a move to the English premier League outfit Swansea City.
Reports from McDOS Goffertstadion have confirmed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Goossens-c18857, has agreed to join Feyenoord Rotterdam in the summer on a Bosman move.
The 23-year-old, who has an expiring contract with NEC that ends in the summer of 2012, will
put pen to a contract that will keep him at De Kuip Stadion until the end of the 2015/16 campaign, after undergoing a medical in Rotterdam in the coming days.
The Rotterdam giants have confirmed the arrival of the midfield ace in the summer. Martin van Geel, the Rotterdammers technical director, has revealed that his side is happy to have acquired the services of the 23-year-old on a free transfer.

Goossens has also expressed joy upon the agreement, adding that the move will certainly prove to be a stepping stone in his career.

The versatile midfielder is a product of Ajax Amsterdam's fabled youth academy and started his professional career at NEC in the summer of 2009.
The Dutchman has thus far played 60 matches for the outfit from Nijmegen and has 11 goals to his name. The free-kick specialist impressed many in Netherlands and in Europe with his good performances, winning interest from a host of European clubs.
English Premier League outfit, Swansea City, was keen to sign the midfielder in the ongoing winter transfer market, as they are looking to add more creativity to their midfield. However, the 23-year-old denied joining the Swans and revealed that he is not
ready to move abroad.
Goossens would be joining Feyenoord on July 1, 2012.
