NEC Versa P8310 help with CD drive?

Question

my laptop doesn't register that it's got a CD drive but it Worked when i first bought it and i haven't dropped it or spilt liquid on it so how do i fix it? and something does occansionally pop up saying driver is blocked due to Starforce protection and i have no idea what that is

I suggest that you look for NEC's help desk and take your laptop so they can take a look on it.
