  1. You have to do the research for your area, but the first three digits that phone companies give land lines are different from the first three digits that cell phone companies give. Or, if you are near your computer, go to msn.com and do a reverse number look up. It's free and it will tell you where that phone's located or whether or not it's a cell.

  2. if you go to www.whitepages.com and put the # in it will tell you whether it is cell phone or land line. if listed it will also give you name and address of person owning phone good luck

  3. check http://telcodata.us/ on the left corner click the area/exchange link, then type in the area code and first 3 digits of the phone number... the "owner" of each thousand block will be listed...  if the area code, and first 4 digits are owned by a cell company in your area, then chances are he is on a cell phone.. ... but with number portability it may not be the case... people can take a cell number and port it to a landline, and a land line number and port it to a cell.. etc...

  4. Nowadays, it is really hard to tell because anyone could have any type of area code for their phones. Before, it used to be like they had a home area code and cell phone area code, but now because of (LNP) numbers are getting mixed up.

  5. 1471

  6. Your american are'nt you?.. Ask him straight up... if he's lieing he won't make eye contact.. if thats the case do what we brits do.. DUMP HIM... Bye bye
