  1. Call a vet and tell him her conditions. He'll tell you if she's ready to deliver or not.

  2. you will know.she might be in the early signs of labor.when her water breaks there will be a greeney substance on her bum and then get a nice blanket and pop her somewhere you want her to have the kittens she might keep moving though i remember my cat kept moving in to my press, and even in my bath,so we got a towel and popped her up on the chair where her mummy gave birth to her.

i was at lots of cats births so i know my thing email me when she goes into labor or  if you think she is going into labor then email me.michellexgix@hotmail.com

  3. yes she is in labor. my brother in laws cat walked up to me i looked at her and told them she would have the kittens in at least 4 days she had them the next day keep an eye on her just in case she needs help congrats

  4. i take it form that description tht she is very ready! comfort her until she has the kittens and u prob already know all tht stuff on wat to do.

    good luck! :)

  5. well, you will know when she is ready. When my cat gave birth I was hearing little itty bitty meowing and I was looking everywhere and minutes later I found them under the bed. My cat had no signs of going in labor, she just went under there and done her thing like she has done it before. (It was her first litter). Anyways, you will know when little kittens start to come out through the birth canal. Just keep an eye out on her. Good luck.

  6. Yes, sounds like she is ready!!!

She might have them today or tomorrow.

Get the box ready now.  Now now.

I tried to help another woman out with the same concern.  Hope this will help you too!

    :::

To make her comfortable, make her a box -- a large box that gives her plenty of room to move around in. Cut down one side to make it easy for her to get in/out. Line it with an old towel or sheet that you don't mind getting ruined.

Put another light weight sheet over the top of the box so that she has privacy. Keep the opening clear for her to easily jump in and out. Her belly is probably getting big!   So, account for the extra weight.

Put the box either next to your bed or in an area where the cat will be close to you yet not bothered by commotion.

Show her the box several times. Put her in it and pet her, and speak gently to her. Tell her that this is where she can have her babies.

Put dry food and water outside of the box so she knows it is HER box.

    Then, leave her be.

She will have the babies when she goes into labor and will be fine.

    Mother cats have amazing instincts.

She might come get you, meow at the tops of her lungs.

Cat's water breaks, so you might notice wetness.  You'll know then that they are soon on their way.

She will give birth and each each placenta.  Don't force it.

If she doesn't eat all of them, it isn't the end of the world.

    She does what she does.

1 day after the kittens are born, change the sheet/towel and disgard the bloody one.

I believe in handling the kittens soon -- especially if your Cat is loving.

Wait a few hours after birth, then gently but confidenly hold them.

Then, pick them up often to socialize them.  They need love!!!

After 3 weeks, carefully cut a hole in the box and let them poke their heads out and try walking around. (Take the kittens out and cut the hold, then put them back in.)

The MAMA CAT will nurse her babies for about 8 weeks.

At about 4 weeks old, you can start to try and feed the kittens.

I use a 50/50 mix of slightly warmed Rice Baby Cereal (mixed with warm water like cream of wheat consistency) and canned cat food.

Put it in their mouth and see if they want to eat.

This might take a couple trys. Keep trying!

Great luck to you and the babies!

If you need more advice, I can tell you more. I've had kittens my whole life and know the drill very well.

  7. no, you'll KNOW when she's ready. My cats had kittens before and they kinda got out of sight. We found her and her kittens in the closet on top of my step-mom's shoes. TRUST ME, you'll know.

  8. sounds like she is in the early stages of labor. fix a box for her, line it with towels and keep it dark and quiet. Show her the box, she may want you to sit with her and pet her. don't let her get into anyplace that you can't get to her if you have to help her. call your vet and tell them, they can walk you through it over the phone, they also need to be aware in case she needs to come in. Please have her spayed as soon as the kittens are weaned. Good luck

  9. Do you know any vet that you can take your cat too if you do, try to take her there as soon as possible!! I think its normal for a cat to act weird when she is about to have kittens.

  10. my cat had 4 kittens 6 weeks ago, she started labour just as u explain, keep an eye on her and make her comfortable, ,if she continues like this for more than an hour and is still not producing any kittens bring her to the vet, my cat had to have a Cesarean, she was in labour for 2 hours, so i brought her to the vet, he operated immediately, one of her kittens had died and was blocking the birth canal, she was perfect and had 4 live kittens mother and babies are fine,
