Question:

NEED SONG SUGGESTIONS! :)?

Heyo! haha

I'm thinking of doing a lyrical solo this year, but I'm kind of stuck... I can't find a song that I like... :(

I'm 16 and I want it to be a kick *** song (pardon my french :P)! One that will leave the judges and audience thinking "whoa! That was AWESOME!"... It HAS to leave an impact to make it to finals right? haha.

But like I said, I'm having trouble picking one out. Does anybody out there have any suggestions? I would prefer it to be a sad song, but not real sappy or cheesy haha.

Thanks so much for your input!

  12. I think that quiet songs leave the most impression like a whisper verses a yell, so most/ all of these songs are mostly vocal.

    1. My IQ- Ani DiFranco (Amazing lyrics, sure to leave the audience wowed "every tool is a weapon if you hold it right" AMAZING!)

    2. While My Guitar Gently Weeps- Martin Luther McCoy (very emotional)

    3. Papa Can You Hear Me- Charlotte Church (this song always makes me cry!)

    4. Too Young- Emily Richards (this song was written for her younger sister who was killed by a drunk driver)

5.Faithful to Me- Jennifer Knapp (a capella, beautiful)

    6. Let Myself Fall- Rosie Thomas (a capella)

    7. You Belong to Me- Jason Wade (whenever I hear this song, I think of the American Idol where the elderly man sang this song in his wives memory! Talk about tears!!!)

    8. Chemo Limo- Regina Spektor (about a single mother of 4 who gets cancer and is struggling to cope/ has the word sh*t)

    9. Lady- Regina Spektor (maybe about Billie Holiday, but also about a woman who has struggled through life)

  13. dreaming with a broken heart-john mayer

all we are or come come by onerepublic
