The battery to my 1999 Ford Explorer Sport went dead due to not driving the vehicle. The vehicle battery was removed and recharged. Battery is good and took full trickle charge. After replacing the fully charged battery, the vehicle will not start. * REMOTE DOOR ENTRY CODE ON THE DOOR = OK ...OPEN AND LOCKS ALL DOORS. * REMOTE KEY BUTTONS ON PROGRAMABLE KEY = OK... OPENS AND LOCKS ALL DOORS.The alarm LED does not change status when doors are opened or locked. The engine does not crank over. Is this problem related to a reactivation of the alarm system or what? *THIS PROBLEM HAPPENED ONCE BEFORE WHEN THE BATTERY ACTUALLY WENT DEAD FROM NORMAL USE AND WAS REPLACED. My neighbor contacted someone who gave him a code sequence that reactivated the system.. The sequence was similar but not sure exactly... as follows... * Turn key to on position. Push and hold valet parking button. Turn the key to the off position. Turn key on and off to the on position five times. Wait about 15 seconds for 4 or 5 fast LED flashes. Turn key to the off position.. Let the valet parking button go. Then turn the key on to the start position and the vehicle should crank over. * I never wrote the proper sequence down at that time and now i regret it. * ANYONE KNOW THE PROPER CODE SEQUENCE...?
