  1. Neither; get the ARMY OF ENTROPHY deck from Shadowmoor(I have it and I love it); but if it has to be one of those two, ELVISH PREDATION.

  2. boggart feast

  3. none are good. well, considering that u are buying theme decks, u are probably buying within a budget. i would suggest lorwyn's merfolk deck as it is simple, good and easy to play. throw a few cards in, you'll be able to get quite a strong deck. yeah, i've seen one b4. the guy spent only $25 including single cards and he made it into a merfolk token deck.

well, theme decks are good as they are usually the first few steps to be more experienced in mtg. soon after that, you'll be having deck ideas in your head!

    hope this helps!  :)

  4. I wouldn't suggest the Lorwyn preconstucted, they are not the best. And, Lorwyn is an extremely powerful block that has been appearing outside of standard play, so don't listen to the guy trying to get you to buy a torment deck.

I suggest buying either the blue black futuresight deck if you like controlling the flow of play, the red and black shadowmoor deck if you like to reek havoc on opponent's creatures, and the shodowmoor g/w deck if you like more of a solid defense.

  5. probally elvish predation.

i say that because my elf deck is amazing and i have most of the cards in that deck.

but i got the elf vs goblin duel set that gave me elf support cards.

  6. those are preconstructed decks which means they aren't really good, but if you buy packs from the lorwyn block you can easily improve those preconstructed decks and make them pretty good

  7. I don't agree with the first person. WHEREAS, they aren't the best decks, they can and do work very well. They have a win conidition. The real reason to get  precon is to have a BASE to start from.

It has it's theme and it win condition, but every precon can be modified.

I like Warrior's Code. Slow, but, has alot of mean once it gets cooking.

  8. Well, Lorwyn was by far one of the worst sets put out in a long time (still sorely disappointed in Wizards), but it depends on your style as a player as to which (if any) of those decks will work best for you. If you're a bit of a newb, then go get the Boros deck from Guildpact - it's straightforward and all there. If you're more seasoned and looking for something a bit better, the blue/black planar chaos (cant remember the name...) is just fine and has potential for a lot of combos.

My personal favorite, if you can find it is the Waking Nightmares from Torment. It's a black frustration deck, with a lot of heavy hitters.

As was mentioned before, grab some boosters or singles to toss in there, because almost none of the themes (except the Sliver one) are complete alone. Email me if you need a deck design drawn up - I know the guy who did the western region champion's deck from 2 years ago.
