  1. Go to events in your school and local area, and get snapping!

  2. a fun idea would be to go to a certain spot and take pictures, to a park or something. advanced members can help the beginners with angeling and lighting and how to take balance out the pictures.

or have themes where you take these pictures and bring them in and talk about them; a day with action pictures, nature pictures, candid, black and whites... dif. kinds of photography.

  3. organize a Photography show and get a local coffee shop to display your work for a month. You might even sell something!

you could also have an art auction and raise money for a charity in your community you feel strongly about

you could pick a cause (aka, homelessness or something) and make a point of everyone in the club taking photos that address the problem of homelessness. Kind of like a photo essay, documentary, photo journalism, etc...giving yourself a purpose, basically.

plan host a photo workshop for other students or people in your community who want to learn more about photography. have kids stations where they can practice taking pictures, a variety of cameras (digital, 35mm, large format, etc) for people to look through. also, different lenses so they can get a taste of what each does. you could also have examples of finished work on the equipment. you could have speakers, etc

Find other photographers (professionals) and show their work, discuss what they do and don't do, and learn together

plan  events like picnics by a lake or at an amusement park something. while it would on one hand be a fun outing, you can encourage everyone to bring their cameras and have an awesome shooting day together, too!

    hope one of those helps!

  4. I think each of those things could be stretched into more days.  Depending on the size of your town, there are probably several photographers who would be helpful.

You could also start a magazine or a free blog to publish each person's favorite photos.  Then club time could be spent maintaining and improving the publication.

  5. Maybe a fundraiser where friends, couples, etc. can come to you to get cool pictures taken.  Have everyone gather up props, costumes, etc and see what kind of fun ideas you can brainstorm so that people can have a unique momento from the year.

  6. easy take them to a park have them shoot wildlife you can go to the zoo have them pick an animal that resembles themselves and others take them on a nature hike to take pictures have them find something that looks like it doesnt belong there (not trash) and encourage them to pick up trash along the way

  7. have a discussion group talking about the styles and techniques of a group of famous photographers that you select.  then see if, based on this information, your club members can guess by photograph only- which photographer took the shot.  this will help them be able to discern and eventually use techniques that are outside of their normal realm.  just an idea.
