  1. just look around but are going to be paying a arm and a leg you should really look for some insurance cause paying every visit will get real high it's hard saying what you should be paying cause it depends on what your baby gets done a think a reg visit is around $45 but if he has test done you could be looking up to $200 or more it also depends on where the clinic is lower income clinic are cheaper like $25 a visit i say look into insurance your titles says child care not sure if you want to know that to but new Born's are more so remember that most daycare are around $500 to $600 for new Born's its about $100 when it comes to day cares you want the best like the ones that are like school/ daycare  those are the best and there around the total i gave you i get help with my baby sitting. I know it's hard just hang in there it's gets better by the time they get 5

  2. It's going to be a lot cheaper to get insurance elsewhere. If it's not offered through your job, try applying for medicaid. You could also randomly call other health insurance providers (Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana, etc) and see what they charge.

But on average, each doctors visit is going to be around $60-$80. That's not including any tests they run or any shots. And with your baby being so little, you're gonna be going to the doctor a lot! Check ups are first week they're born.. then 6 weeks.. then I believe at 2 months.. 4 months.. 6 months.. 9 months.. 12 months.. 15 months.. 18 months.. etc and so on. Until they are about two. Then figure in random doctor visits due to your child getting sick or having an injury, and you're looking at quite a few visits and quite a lot of money.

  3. You're wanting to pay out of pocket for a private insurance plan, right? Not for each doctor visit? I'm not entirely sure where you live...you will have to do some shopping around, but my brother has a blue cross or blue shield, (sorry i cant remember which one) plan for his daughter and he pays $205 a month.  He shopped around a lot for that, so it was the best deal he could get for where we live.  He has a $10.00 co-pay on all doctors visits, $5.00 co-pay on all prescriptions no matter the type or quantity, and $35.00 co-pay on all emergency room visits.

Edit: I would like to add, not everyone can get medicaid!! I have posted insurance questions for my baby too, and that's the only answer I ever seem to get...but not everyone qualifies!! You have to be below the poverty mark.

  4. I hope to god you know what you're getting yourself into.  Not having insurance is going to be one of the most costly things you will ever have to pay.  Why can't you get Medicaid?

Your best bet is to call the doctor's office where you plan to take the baby and get prices from them.  Every doctor's office is different in how they charge.
