NEW Playstation 3 80gb. Twice the memory?

In this Sunday's Circuit City ad advertising the new ps3 80gb, it said Twice the memory. Did Sony upgrade its cell processor or does it just mean twice the Hdd space for the same price as 40gb. Can anyone confirm?

hard drive space, but really, the PS3 isnt worth it. It started as a 80GB model, the fact they are now advertising 80GB as double the 40GB strip down version is pathetic.

Yes, they mean double that of the 40gig for the same price, same features as the 40gig, just with a bigger HDD. I have a 60gig and I would definitely recommend it. All's you would be missing out on is Backwards compatibility, and who needs that when you'll be playing sweet new PS3 games?
