NEW SCH , AWKWARD moments !?

Question

I went to a new sch .. and its awkward like h**l !! I do have lil chats but i am alone nearly all the time . it's been three days and for recess n lunch i m sitting alone .. its sooo embarrasing i mean like .. i have NEVER been alone in my old sch n dis is soo ... can anybody give me ideas how to become frens wid everybody ? Pls dont b like 'be kind' n stuff ( nowadays , ppl think dey r realli boring and if i m rude then no one will talk to me .. how shud i act like ? )

I know i shud act like me but i am the REALLY cheerful type .. and how can i b like dat if i dont even know anybody so nearly the whole time i m quiet like a .. err .. wats d quitest thing on earth ? ( yea , like dat ) :)

So can anybody help me pls ?

Scope out the situation.. Look at who is hanging with who. You can't just typically know everyone. You get to know one person that's in a large group and then your in. So pick one person that's in that group and if they're in one of your classes or your locker is next to theirs ..what ever.. get to know that one .. ya know "hey OMG I love that bag where did you get it? " something like like .. People love to talk about themselves....  Then take it from there..

Be careful with the guys... if your good looking and the guys want to be your friend ??? UMM becareful... good idea to wait until you get those female bonds first otherwise the girls will think your new and stepping in on their junk... Your toast after That !!

PS.. and yes be yourself.. have fun.. You have nothing to lose !

Try and be really loud!! Or you could try and be really bitc*y. I have been to 6 different schools and i gotta tell you let the people come to you!! Thats what i did and now (a couple of terms later) I am one of the most popular people in the whole school!!! If no one comes to you try and pick a nice group to hang out with and if they don't want you to hang out with them you can get a new look! Go shopping, get a makeover or something like that!! Hey...you posted a link to this question & asked me to answer.Well ok,although you didn't really ask the right person(I'm shy & it's hard for me to make friends too)I'll try to help you as much as I can.

The most important thing of all IS being yourself! Because once you make friends they'll like you for who are & you won't be acting the whole time(that's uncomfortable)

Number 2 just be nice & kind & if you're REALLY cheerful like what you're saying then there's no problem in that at all.People like those who are cheerful & optimistic the whole time!

Don't be embarassed from sitting alone in recess & stuff like that,it's natural,you're new & it may take a while for you to fit in & make friends,that's just normal.

you're saying it's been 3 days? Well I suppose now you kinda know the people,like who are the jocks,sweet,nerds of the class & stuff like that..just hang out with those people who are most similar to you.Whenever you seem them around just go & say hi & hang out with them for abit & try to open up interesting conversations(it's NOT freaky!) but don't be a stick glue either & follow them wherever they go because they would find it annoying

don't they have clubs or some activities in your school? Just join one you like because then you'll meet people with the same interests as you!

Anyways those are my advices...I'm sorry I know that they're no help but they're all what I can think of & I really do hope you good luck!

choose a group of girls that look nice,

not extremly popular

but not extremly freaky.

start a conversation.

talk about anything.

so you think you can dance.

A few years ago i started a new school where nobody knew me but now ive got lots of friends. Act open (smile and dont cross your arms etc) and people will approach you and eventually you'll have a friend. That person will usually introduce you to others and then you've got a group of friends.

Making friends won't happen overnight so just stick it out and be yourself, that way you'll make friends like yourself and you won't have to act.

been there. honestly, being a loner in school proves a very tough situation indeed. i'm a quiet person myself and i stick to it. if you really wanted to have friends and all, why not make the first move. start off by being optimistic and cheerful. but don't be too hyper because it can comes off as annoying and immature.

and, there's nothing wrong if you had a few friends in the new school. start by greeting them and being assertive(most people loves a positive person because they had this confidence and an optimist vibe) to the ones who sit near you. talk less and be a listener to them. be a very good listener and always help each other out.

i know it must be tough in the new school, but you'll learn it soon enough. don't worry it's still only 3 days in the school. take a time out and approach people who are nice in your opinion and asks them about the school.

and if you're into music, join the orchestra or anything that you love. be sure to keep a good grades so everybody in the class will look up to you.

don't worry too much. if i'd be you, i'll be thinking on the studies that day rather than trying to meet up new friends :)
