I'm planing to go to south america and my plan is to start in peru. Then go to bolivia and visit some areas (please some advice). And finally I would like to go to brasil coming from bolivia.

I don't want to spend long getting there, at the most i have one day to stop somewhere inbetween. Also trying to do this in an inexpensive way. I would appreciate any advice on the best method of transport and route between these places. Thanks.

  1. From Peru to Bolivia you can cross by boat in the Titicaca lake, of course, in Peru you can go by bus to the place to take the boat and in the Bolivian side you can get another bus to go to La Paz. Theres a small company called "Cruceña" in Bolivia that makes the route to Brazil. The bus enter to Brazil for the state of Mato Grosso if I´m not wrong.

  2. I did a trip from Peru to Bolivia then Chile and two of the highlights were the train from Cuzco - Puno train journey across the altiplano. The second was the trip by bus across the Salar from Uyuni (the salt flats) and onwards to San Pedro in Chile across the desert...it was so remote and different from anywhere I had been adn no road, just dusty tracks. Swimming in the hot springs at dawn, crossing the non existant border into Chile and the amazing scenery in the Andes.
