  1. yeah i would do it, it's not like Maroney is going to see the ball, but dont be surprised if LJ breaks down, because he gets/got the ball so much.

  2. NO. Maroney has the consistency factor, he's entering his prime, he puts up good numbers and plays on an allstar team. LJ is passing his prime, has up-and-down numbers, declined over the past two years, and plays for a rebuilding, if not crappy, team. Maroney is the better fantasy back. However, with AP on your side it doesn't much matter, he'll do most of your scoring.

  3. The Johnson side of the deal wins.

Maroney has been largely disappointing, and hurt.  When given the chance last season, Sammy Morris performed with more consistency and a higher average per carry.

Maroney has great upside, but is not the centerpiece of the Pats offense.

Johnson when healthy is a 25-30 carry TD machine.  He's the more likely of the two to carry a fantasy team.

You can try that trade, but I doubt the other owner will bite.

  4. Maroney is a great RB but NE won't use him as an every down back so definately do the trade.  LJ is gonna be better this year.  Good Luck!

  5. Great trade if you are getting Larry Johnson! Take it!!

  6. That is a FANTASTIC deal!  Maroney is not nearly as valuable!  Take it before this person changes his mind!

  7. Don't listen to the guy telling you to keep Maroney.

He was the starter last year in that big offense and only had 835 yards and 6 TDs. There were many backup RBs that did better than that.

Larry Johnson was injured most of the season last year. The 2 years before that he rushed for over 1,700 yards and had 17 and 20 TDs.

So, even if the other guy was right about Johnson being washed up (but he is not) a healthy Johnson can at least match the lousy numbers Maroney put up last season.

So you have nothing to lose by trading for Johnson, and a heck of a lot to gain if he excels like he did the 2 seasons before last.

    Good luck.

  8. no lj screwed me up last year

  9. If you can get it TAKE IT.  Marloney is a bust.  New England is a passing team PERIOD.  As long as Brady has Moss and Welker to throw to, Marloney might get 10 touches per game...not great for fantasy...LJ should bounce back and put up his usual numbers....
