NFL: Five Questions are floating in the air
It is the time of the year when National Football League (N.F.L) Teams are going through the pre-season sensation. The training camps are being organized to come up with some great techniques, in order to dominate the other side and bring discipline to the team-lines for a better performance in the up-coming NFL season. With the opening of training activities, the un-certainty and suspense is prevailing far beyond the normal position battles. There has been a lot of activity among teams this week.
Contract renewals, negotiations over packages, and the position previews are hovering over the league. People have a lot of questions in their minds about the possible ties, risks, and other prospects of the game. A few queries which are surrounding the N.F.L. are listed below:
1- Will the trade of Donovan McNabb and Mike Shanahan make any substantial difference to Redskins performance?
The addition of quarterback Donovan McNabb has surely balanced the N.F.C. East’s power shift. It will bring a positive change for the Washington Redskins. Donovan was formerly attached with the Philadelphia Eagles and led them for four consecutive N.F.C. East Division Championships. Now that he has opted for the Redskins, McNabb has the ability to shift the team up from the division vault.
Mike Edward Shanahan has taken over the position of head-coach for the Washington Redskins this year. There were rumours about Shanahan since early 2009 NFL season that he was going to join Redskins. Finally, it happened this year and now Shanahan has started working on the task of leading the team in perfect direction.
2- What is the next plan of “marketing machine” Tim Tebow?
Tim Tebow of Denver Broncos is skyrocketing this season. He has been very successful in marketing different brands for Nike. In the recent news, Tim Tebow’s Nike shoe is set to roll out at all the sports apparel stores. The word “Promise” is stitched into one heel of the shoe. Apart from the gossip news, the head coach of Denver Broncos, Josh McDaniels is looking forward to use Tebow as a full-time starter in the training camp. He has spent months to define the roles of players in up-coming season and he plans to get full advantage of Tebow’s skills in the camp.
3- What is up with the Green Gang after Douglas and Mangold disappear?
New York Jets are stuck with a bit of confusion after the defensive end; Marques Douglas has decided to support Miami Dolphins this season. Douglas had a very consistent performance in the 2009 campaign and his merger with Dolphins is quite surprising. The Jets are thinking to sign veteran quarterback Mark Brunell, which is exciting news. Other than that, Kyle Wilson is also the potential contender to sign a deal with Jets.
4- How will Steelers bring back their dignity after a horrible off-season?
The Pittsburgh Steelers have a real test ahead of them to re-gain a good reputation after their failure in the late last season. Steelers have re-signed Mike Tomlin as their head coach, which is considered a good sign for the team. Tomlin seems pretty optimistic to improve the team’s performance this season. Their regular training camp is scheduled to start on the 29th of July and team will hit the final plan.
5- Will luck stand with Peyton Manning and Tom Brady this season?
Peyton Manning has been looking forward to hold the position of quarterback for Indianapolis Colts. The owner of Colts, Jim Irsay has assured to support Manning. On the other hand, Brady is having his bad days. In the past, he has courage to take below-market deals to help Colts but this time around, he has decided to try his luck with for a better bargain.
