NFL Power Rankings Week 10 (Part 4)
This is the final part of a series of articles, discussing the NFL Power Rankings as of Week 10.
Now that wide receiver Donte Stallworth is back from a broken foot injury, it will be interesting to see if Cam Cameron, the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator, would utilize his offense’s full potential in Week 10.
Although, Stallworth didn’t play in the game against the Dolphins last week, the Ravens are looking much better for Week 10, in which he will be starting. The Ravens are placed at number 3, up two from last week.
Now that we have reached the last two teams on the Power Rankings, there is an interesting question that everyone in pondering. Could the New York Jets be on the road to play the New York Giants in the Super Bowl?
Both teams are on top this week. The Jets are at number 2 this week, up 2 from last week with a 6-2 record, and they, like the Giants, don’t seem to have any weaknesses. Even in last week’s game against the Lions, they were clearly outplayed, but found a
way to win in overtime.
Last, but certainly not least, on the Power Rankings list are the New York Giants. They are one of the best teams in the NFL, thanks to their luck that they don’t have many personal issues, such as injuries, to plague the team. They are playing great in
both defense and offense, which puts them at number 1 on the Power Rankings, up 1 from last week, with a 6-2 record.
The Chicago Bears jumped the most this week, moving up 6 slots from number 19 to 13, while the Seattle Seahawks are the biggest losers, moving down 7 slots from number 17 to 24.
The Tennessee Titans are predicted to win their game next week against the Miami Dolphins, while the Giants are placed second, but still predicting a win over the Dallas Cowboys. As far as the Giants go, it’s not really that difficult to predict, seeing
as the Cowboys have a 1-7 record as of Week 10. The Titans have a 90.6% chance of winning, while the Giants are one percent down, with an 89.6% chance.
Only time will tell about the Super Bowl participants, but both New York teams that top the list are the forerunners this week, making way for a New York Super Bowl, much like the New York MLB World Series in 2000. However, with eight games left in the regular
season, it’s still anybody’s game.
