NFL: Power Rankings Week 12 (Part 2)

This is a continuation of the previous article of the same name, discussing the NFL Power Rankings as of Week 12 of the Regular Season. #32 to #21 were discussed previously and now we will continue from there.
At #20 this week, down one from last week, are the Houston Texans. They have a history of pulling together some wins after a couple of losses, but with a 4-6 record, everyone is asking the same question: “Have ya’ lost enough yet?”
Down five from last week are the 5-5 Miami Dolphins at #19. Sure, the NBA Miami Heat might be a hot franchise, but most of the heat is going towards the Dolphin’s coaching decisions over the last couple of games.
The Washington Redskins are at #18 this week, up from #21 last week. Their three slot jump is most due to QB Donovan McNabb performing well on third downs and two-minute decisions in the Skins’ overtime victory over the Titans last week.
The 5-5 Tennessee Titans are placed at #17 this week, down four from last week. After losing their last three games, the Titans need to set aside all of their drama (yes, were talking to you Mr. Vince Young) and try to beat the Texans, who seem to be struggling
more than they are at the moment. Really Vince, just because you’re injured and lost the game doesn’t mean that you can chuck your pads and jersey into the stands or tell your coach that you’re quitting on him. Come on, that’s not nice. Well, at least Young
doesn’t have to worry about losing anymore, since he is now on injured reserve.
The 5-5 Oakland Raiders fell four slots to appear at #16 on the Power Rankings. Although they had a bad show against the Steelers last week, they should be able to win their next game against Miami. Oh, and also if Richard Seymour is able to control himself
and not punch someone in the face like he did with Big Ben last week. Ouch.
The 6-4 Jacksonville Jaguars are up three from last week to slot #15 this week. After winning their last three games, they may still not be the best team in the NFL, but they deserve a lot of credit since they are 1st in the AFC South. Hopefully,
they’ll be able to stay there after next week’s game against the Giants.
The San Diego Chargers are up two from last week to #14 this week after an amazing victory over the Broncos last week. They are on a roll with three straight wins and know that most of their previous encounters with the Colts have turned out in their favor,
so they are not really worried about next week. The Chargers seem to have a strange pattern going on in terms of wins and losses. They lost one, and then won one. Then they lost another and won another. And finally, they lost three straight and have now won
three straight. Hopefully, they will not continue the pattern and instead get a win next week.
The 6-4 Kansas City Chiefs are at #13 this week, up two from last week. They put Arizona out of commission last week and are expected to do the same next week in Seattle.
The 7-3 Chicago Bears are at #12 this week, up five from last week, thanks to their strong defense winning them three straight games. Nothing more, nothing less.
The 7-3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers are placed at #11 this week, same as last week. They are the third best team in the NFC South, but seem to have a chance at the NFC South crown since the 8-2 Falcons are not too far ahead.
The remaining teams on the NFL Power Rankings as of Week 12 of the Regular Season will be discussed in the next article. Take a look!
