NFL Update:  2010 Season Predictions
The NFL 2010 season is surely to provide us with a lot of excitement and a lot of competitive matches. The off season draft picks and the recently upcoming stories make the 2010 season all the more exciting. With the upcoming season, it’s the experts’ time to predict the favourites, the best players, the youngsters and the rookies of the season.
Some of you won’t believe it but as it stands, Drew Brees will one way or the other come to the Madden Curse. However, it might seem to be a risk but yet there is chance for this to take place.
The star player Brett Favre is expected by the experts to return and return with a bang! The ankle problems that he suffered, he has fully recovered and he is all set to make it to the big stage. Some also say that he is in the best of shapes and is expected to be at his best this season. Coupled with this fact is that his last season was impressive but this season is predicted to be one of his greatest.
Another prediction that has been given is that Michael Vick will be traded to Buffalo before the start of the season.  Though his form is questionable at this time but the Buffalos, if manage to pull of the deal expect this player to shine for sure, as he is regarded as one of the best and skilful players by them.
The 33 year old Ricky Williams might sound and seem old but he is as young as a teenager. This extravagant player put up quite a show last season and impressed a lot of people. Considering his performance last season, he is predicted to be a starter in the Miami team which he hasn’t managed to do so far. Not only this, with his skill and experience he will be looking to destroy the AFC again.
Furthermore, it has been predicted that Dennis Dixon will win the starting job at the start of the season at Pittsburgh and blast his way through the defences. However, he didn’t have a lot of starts last year but he is confident that with the skills and hard work he has put in, he will surely win the starting position this time.
The experts also say that Brady Quinn and Tim Tebow will both be seen starting as quarterbacks in the Denver team. Quinn will like last season be likely to put up good performances but as last season saw his durability crumble, the same is predicted for the upcoming season. Not much can be said about Tim Tebow but he will surely be starting without a doubt.
One of the most popular predictions that the experts are giving is that Wes Walker would come back and a comeback which will see him with 100+ receptions and that would enable him to win the Comeback Player of the Year Award. However, he is not going to be in the best of his form nor is he going to be at the peak when it would come to his performance but his comeback would surely be a historic one according to some experts.
Matt Shaub, a talented played who impressed everyone by passing for over four thousand seven hundred yards and helped achieve the league’s top passing offense title. However, the main reason for him not being regarded as a potential Hall of Fame is his health. Matt only took part in 16 games last season and this season many predict him no crossing this line again. His fragile health may crumble and leave him on the bench for most of the season again.
One of the double predictions that have come up is that rookie Tobey Gerhart will help carry the offense to a Super Bowl win following the injury of Adrian Peterson. This rookie is without a doubt one of the quickest runners on the field, fearless and as powerful as Peterson.
With these predictions from the experts, we leave it to the 2010 season and await how many of these prediction become reality. These predictions not only leave us in excitement but also give us a handful of entertainment coming up and a must watch NFL season 2010.
