  1. eat the color green

  2. No, you can't get in trouble just for calling a team the Cowboys and making their colors silver and blue. That is not copyright infringement. Copyright WOULD be if you used their actual team logos or refered to them as the "Dallas Cowboys," but not just "Cowboys." There are many High Schools out there that do this you think about it. Our school in Raleigh, NC is called the "Panthers" and out school colors are Baby Blue and Silver- Sound Familiar?

  3. I think you are stepping over the line with copyright infringement, and you need to exercise extreme caution with this one. If you are in doubt contact a lawyer who specializes in this area.

  4. Are you or aren't you is a matter for a jury to decide.

    Your concern is more practical.

Can the NFL file a case against you, causing you to spend a lot of money on lawyers?  Does the NFL have more money for lawyers than you do?  Yes and Yes.

Does the NFL have a habit of vigorously enforcing their copyrights?  Oh, heck yes!

Do you stand a chance of getting a summary judgment in your favor by a judge?  Is a snowball's chance in Hades still a chance?
