NFL boss impressed with Indianapolis readiness for hosting Super Bowl – NFL News
National Football League’s (NFL) commissioner, Roger Goodell, has come with all praise for the city of Indianapolis over its readiness to host the supreme event of the American professional football, Super Bowl, on Sunday, February 05, 2012.
This is for the first time that the Indianapolis is hosting Super Bowl or any event of this stature and calibre, as a matter of fact, and the commissioner said that he was pleased to see the city exceeding the league’s expectations for preparations in many
areas.
He said that the people around the world were speaking high of the hospitality of the Indianapolis people, football fans and officials, which they are offering as the hosts of the event and congratulated the Indianapolis Host Committee for having made all
the arrangements.
A game between the New York Giants and New England Patriots is marking the final of the 2011 NFL season and the winner of it will become reigning champion of the league until the next Super Bowl event to be held next year.
The American professional football league is stretched over the regular season, a wild card round, playoff game, the American Football Conference Champions (AFC) tie and the final Super Bowl game.
The 32 franchise teams of the NFL have to play 16 games among them and including the one week of bye the regular season concludes in 17 weeks. The postseason rounds have a game each to mark end of the league’s annual run.
Since the football game is one of the most popular sports activities in the United States, interest and enthusiasm of fans reaches its peak during the days leading to the Super Bowl and a crowd of people from all over the world, especially from the US and
Canada flood the city that hosts it.
It is the Indianapolis hosting the event this year and a drive to prepare the city to ensure successful organizing of the final had been launched by the local administration about a month ago.
The city administration has come with separate plans for traffic, lodging and boarding and security during the week leading to the event and all seems set now to successful hosting of the event.
The NFL commissioner who has reviewed the arrangements is apparently impressed with the readiness of the city despite that it is hosting the event for the first time.
He said that the city has excelled all the standards in many cases and the Indianapolis are going to prove their worth and significance as hosts over the weekend.
Both teams have already reached the city and practiced in front fans and spectators who are already frequent to the stadium.
Despite that the arrangements have convinced the NFL boss; he remained short of commenting on the chances of hosting Super Bowl again in the future.
