  1. its not fair to label any people the same, but with that being said.....

    Who cares!

  2. Sure

    All Eagles fans are evil

All Patriots and Cowboys fans are bandwagon fans

    All Raiders fans are criminals

Want me to list MORE stereotypes of fans? Don't let it get under your skin, because anyone who knows football knows that not ALL fans of a team are a certain way. When they say all they mean the majority, or at least the majority of what you hear about. Still the Eagles do have holding cells in their stadium.

  3. I don't think it's fair to label any group of fans for any team as the same. People did that a lot on her last season with Patriots fans. There were a few obnoxious ones who ruined it everytime a polite Pats fan asked a question. I know Steelers fans have been labeled, and I wouldn't want to be in a stereotype, either.

Bottom line: Every team has great, polite fans and every team has rude, terrible fans.

  4. Not all of the Eagles fans are like that.  The only team that I think has the best fans are the Packers.  The Packers come from Green Bay; a small town.  That is the only NFL team in the entire league that has a small town.  I KNOW that Green Bay has less then 75,000 residents, but very nice homes.  (If you've been there, you would know)  The Packers were one of the First 5 Teams ever to be in the NFL, way back in the 1920's.

  5. Excellent question and stated the way I answer questions absolutely not all fans should not be classified as the same. I say this on a reg. basis when people make comparisons they should say SOME Eagles fans Some Dallas fans. I hate all Dallas fans what how stupid is that ? you don't even know me personally. I don't stand up for my team when they are wrong and down others teams nor their fans. When you disrespect me and call me names because of my choice of a team, and hate me for something so minor then I have no respect for that person. But still have enough respect for myself not to act the way that person does. I have never disliked an entire team nor all of their fans I may dislike a player of that team. But you will find ignorant people in every walk of life not just football. And for those I really feel sorry for them because they use rivalry footbal to express the hate they feel period..

  6. In the old stadium, there were the ones in the Nest of Death and then there were the rest.

  7. Why not?

People do it with the Cowboys, Patriots, Colts, Raiders, ect ect

Bottom line-- dont let it get to you. Most people just talk s*** in here, it doesnt mean people would actually dislike you in real life for being an eagles fan..

  8. It isn't fair to label all Eagles fans the same even if some do boo. allot of them don't boo and allot of them do.

                            P.S. is allot spelled wrong?

  9. Im a diehard fan. I bleed green. If other people dont like that, I honestly dont care!

No stereotyping is not cool, but its not like it affects your "fandom"

  10. I guess an answer I gave before must have hit a nerve.

Yes, <sigh>, I am guilty of that very thing.  But let me explain why:

I live 50 miles north of Philly, born and raised here.  I have loved the Cowboys since 1978.  I have met, over those 30 years, TONS of Eagles fans just based on geography.  I have taken TONS of c**p from those same fans about my team.  I have NO problem getting razzed about my 'boys when they lose to the Eagles.  HOWEVER, what grates me is when the Eagles win 1 game on a Sunday and we lose 1 game on a Sunday, that Monday, the Eagles are going to the SB and they are the best team ever.  Okay, no problem.  Then come the next Sunday.  The Eagles lose a game, the Cowboys win.  That Monday:  The Eagles suck, the refs threw the game, the other team cheated, McNabb is an a$$; OR; the Cowgirls cheated, they paid the refs, they haven't won a playoff since Christ was a Corporal...yada yada yada.

I hate to be that way but these fans bring it on themselves.  In the 30 years I've been a Cowboys fan, I've met 2, INLCUDING YOU NIKE, that have your attitude.  Its refreshing but I still won't go to Philly to watch them play Dallas.  I'm a fan forever, TRUE BLUE, and I can't go into that stadium without my jersey on, my hat on, etc.  The game of football is exciting and fun.  I would never dream, for one second, to hurt a fan or player of the opposing team when they would go to Dallas.  Its ignorant, childish and rude.  Humans are supposed to be civilized...

    That's my take on it...

Thanks, Nike.  YOU are a true football fan!

  11. I am also an Iggles fan(Didn't cheer Irvin getting hurt and wasn't alive for Santa incident),I'm also a Phils fan(even though I never threw batteries at JD Drew),I'm a Sixers fan (even though I'm not racist towards Barkley)and a Flyers fan (who never got into fights at a game unless I was provoked).

I don't drink at the games and I had Season Tickets in the 700 level at the Vet...Just remember theres stereotypes for everybody out there and not just Iggles fans and not just sports.

  12. It's never fair to label ALL of any group as the same. You may just be one of the rare exceptions as far as Eagles fans go.

  13. Snowballs aren't the issues, it is when they pack them tight enough to become ice balls that they are an issue.

Patriots fans threw a snow ball at Phil Simms during the Snow Bowl against the Raiders.  Giants fans threw snowballs at the Eagles in a game they lost (I believe one Giants fan arrested was a school teacher) but Eagles fans threw ice balls, and that hurts a lot more, so no one should be let off the hook for that.

You know the old saying, "If life throws you snow, make a snowball", so it's really just a normal type of behavior.

  14. No its not fair, but people tend to mistake passion for ignorance and such. We are passionate about the game no matter what. No matter how much we talk down about the Eagles and their players when they lose  We are ALWAYS there next Sunday rooting them on. You should be proud to be an Eagles fan, and not care what any one else thinks.
