NFL player Shawne Merriman lashes out on CM Punk – WWE News
Shawne Merriman, NFL player, lashed out on CM Punk calling him a ‘punk’. He released a series of twitter posts, among which the most prominent one read, “F--- C.M. Punk, he's still a punk forever in my book.”
Shawne Merriman seemed pretty furious over Punk. He further tweeted, “I'm sure my supporters feel the same way... And WWE, I ain't hosting y'all new network until somebody whoop C.M. Punk cuz he's a p$ssy. Serious, who the f--- is C.M. Punk other than a soft butt...wrestling gone soft f off... If god is my witness, C.M. Punk was wearing a thong laying by the pool tanning his cheeks in Costa Rica, now tell me I'm lying... C.M. Punk wants no part of Lights, trust me...”
He further addressed WWE and said that he will not host WWE until CM Punk is dethroned. He said he is not a hater but he simply does not like guys in thongs. He also said that he thinks Punk had pillows under his stomach.
It should be noted here that this is the second time such a high-profile personality has clashed with Punk. Previously, Chris Brown was at a war with Punk. Punk had challenged Brown to a wrestling match after a series of ‘tweet shots’ both the celebrities threw at each other.
Moreover, Punk recently made headlines with his performance against Chris Jericho in the elimination chamber event. Last week, on Raw’s Monday Night SuperShow, Jericho came out to the ring to warn Punk. Jericho is going to meet Punk at WrestleMania 28 for the title shot. Jericho, who made his return recently, seems pretty much focused on getting the WWE belt from Punk. As we all know, Chris Jericho is among the top wrestlers of all time. If he is onto it, he will definitely achieve it, and this is something Punk should be focusing on instead of creating problems for other athletes and celebrities. He should train well against Jericho before the latter grabs his title.
WrestleMania 28 will also feature a fight between John Cena and The Rock. It will be a generation vs. generation match and it is currently being considered among the best matches of all time.
