NFL week three picks
Titans at Giants
Both teams are coming off tough losses last week. Tennessee lost to the Steelers at home, and the Giants got humiliated by the Colts in Indianapolis. Both teams sit at 1-1 and could use
a win here to springboard back in the right direction. The key battle will be between the defensive line of the Titans and the offensive line of the Giants. New York has tons of offensive ability. Giants move to 2-1.
Giants 24, Titans 14
Bengals at Panthers
The Bengals responded last week by taking down their rival. By edging the Ravens, Cincinnati enters week three with a lot of confidence. On the other side, there is no confidence to be
seen in Charlotte. The Panthers are depleted, and going with Jimmy Clausen at quarterback won't help.
Bengals 35, Panthers 16
Steelers at Buccaneers
The surprising Bucs host the best defensive team in the NFL. Josh Freeman has looked like a franchise quarterback so far this season. On Sunday, we will really see if he can take over
as the face of the franchise.
Buccaneers 16, Steelers 13
Bills at Patriots
One of the top teams in the NFL takes on one of the most horrific teams we have seen in the last five seasons. This one will be over early.
Patriots 42, Bills 10
Browns at Ravens
Many believe Cleveland should be 2-0. The Browns lost two close games to the Bucs and Chiefs. It is going to be almost impossible for them to avoid starting 0-3. Travelling to Baltimore,
a team that is angry after their loss to the Bengals, will not be easy. A different Joe Flacco shows up.
Ravens 31, Browns 9
49ers at Chiefs
If San Franciso wants to make it to the play-offs, this is a game that they must have. The Chiefs are one of the surprises of the season. People have to remember, we are only two weeks
in.
49ers 27, Chiefs 20
Cowboys at Texans
The elite team out of Texas was supposed to be the Cowboys. Jerry Jones's desire to host the Super Bowl and have the Cowboys win it doesn't look likely. Andre Johnson proved last week
why he is the best receiver in the league.
Texans 30, Cowboys 24
Lions at Vikings
Both teams are 0-2 on the year. One was supposed to make it all the way. If the Vikings don't win this week, Brett Favre should finally call it quits. In week two, it looked like the entire
team did.
Vikings 30, Lions 17
Falcons at Saints
A tasty divisional battle takes place when Matt Ryan and the Falcons travel to face the champs. Both teams have quality quarterbacks, but how much will the loss of Reggie Bush hurt the
Saints?
Falcons 28, Saints 27
Redskins at Rams
After week one, there was a perception growing that the Redskins were going to be great. The same perception existed after 55 minutes of last Sunday's game against the Texans. It's amazing
how much changes in a week. Redskins must take care of the Rams to build their confidence.
Redskins 30, Rams 21
Eagles at Jaguars
Mike Vick is back. The former Virginia Tech star has emerged onto the scene with six quarters of brilliant football. Can he keep it up? Having shaped into more of a passer, Vick must get
time to throw in the pocket against a tough pass-rush of the Jags. He has the weapons and the ability, but can he put it all together?
Eagles 38, Jaguars 28
Colts at Broncos
The Colts looked as good as ever on Sunday night against the Giants. There is no reason to believe they wont keep it up against Denver.
Colts 44, Broncos 14
Raiders at Arizona
Both teams are 1-1. One of these squads will finish Sunday with a winning record. It is time for Derek Anderson to step it up and show he can be a consistent performer in the league.
Cardinals 20, Raiders 16
Chargers at Seahawks
Ryan Matthews will not be starting on Sunday for San Diego. What does this mean? Nothing. The Chargers still have too much for Seattle.
Chargers 33, Seahawks 17
Jets at Dolphins
The Sunday night game is one of the most intriguing. The Jets got by the Patriots last week, and the Dolphins squeaked by the Vikings. One team can take a big step in the division by making
a statement in Miami.
Jets 16, Dolphins 13
Packers at Bears
The rivalry is renewed in Chicago as Aaron Rodgers leads his men into a hostile environment. Jay Cutler looked like a star against the Cowboys, but can he do the same against Clay Matthews
and Green Bay? Chicago doesn't have the defence to stop the vaunted offence of the Packers.
Packers 30, Bears 10
