NHL: Biggest need for a uniform makeover?

Question

Since all uniforms try to have some symbolic meaning, please suggest a change that means something... in other words, the Isalanders shouldn't have a Cactus on their uniform.

What changes would you make for the worst uniform in the NHL?

I don't want to sound like I'm picking on my neighbours but the Buffaslug needs some work.

well some teams cant change their logo because they were part of the origonal 6 teams.besides the reebok edge jerseys make every jersey look cool now

What exactly is a Thrasher anyway? My bird book shows it as a nondescript brown bird with a mottled chest. Not a particularly inspiring emblem.

Also why are there Penguins in Pittsburgh and don't the Rangers belong in Texas.

My definition of a Canuck is a French Canadian and there are d**n few of those in Vancouver.

I've heard of Yellow Jackets but I never knew that a Blue Jacket was a Shawnee war chief. Much like a Blackhawk I guess.

If PC is to come to the NHL. the team names should at least be something to do with the city or the region.

Also hockey is a macho sport what is with Teal and mustard yellow sweaters. There should be rule that team colours must be derived from combinations of the eight primary colours and black and white. That would give about 1000 combinations. That is enough for all.

The way things are going we're probably going to have a team named after a Walt Disney movie.

I don't mind the Buffalo sweaters...just go back to the original logo (keep the existing pants and sweaters...just a new logo).

And I can't stand Vancouver's logo...what is it about this club and bad sweaters?  There are smart people in Vancouver...how hard can this be?

The hometown bunch (Toronto)- nice job with the current sweaters;

no shoulder patches, no horizontal stripes...it looks like a stinking practice sweater.  If you're going for symbolism, I suppose having a loonie as their new shoulder patch would work.

Buffalo's logo still confuses me.  I could've sworn they were still called the Sabres, but they haven't had a Sabre in their logo since the mid 90's before they moved to red/black.  Have they changed to the Buffalo Buffaloes?

I have three and they are really simple solutions to each problem.

1. Canucks - Need to go back to their throwbacks full time.

2. Sabres - See above

3. Predators - Need a better logo.

Even people from Buffalo hate the slug.  They need to go back to the retro yellow and blue, cross swords with buffalo above them.

I love the colors of the "new" Buffalo uniforms; they're classy and toned down just enough from the originals, but the logo needs work. I'm cool with the retro crossed swords and charging buffalo, if only because the others never made sense. We went from a buffalo and sabres to a goat-like thing, to a slug. Somewhere along the line, things went horribly off track. Simple and classic will always work best. For reference, please see the Redwings logo.
