Boston Bruins looked like the stronger team during the second period but Buffalo Sabres managed to shift the momentum in their favour and, in the end, win the match scoring twice in the final period. The score at the end of the match was 4-2 in favour of
the Buffalo Sabres. Paul Gaustad, defenceman of the Buffalo Sabres was named the star selection of the match with some excellent defending.

and stronger with the passage of time.
The teams were evenly matched but Boston Bruins started to get past the opposing defence regularly and finally scored and got into the lead. The goal was scored by Dennis Seidenberg from a brilliant long range shot that went flying into the back of the net.

The first goal of the period was scored in the 6th minute by Thomas Vanek which put the Sabres in the lead. The period continued smoothly until the Buffalo Sabres scored once again to seal the match with the goal scored by Jason Pominville from
a simple 17th minute tip in shot.
Boston Bruins bombarded shots on goal every now and them but couldn’t score as the match ended with the Buffalo Sabres winning the match 4-2 in the end.
