NHL Latest – League leaders Philadelphia Flyers hammered 5-0 Florida Panthers on Flyers soil
League leaders, Philadelphia Flyers playing host to the Florida Panthers was the 490th game of the season that was played this Monday. The match was expected to be won by the Philadelphia Flyers as they are the league leaders and has come up with
win regularly but it was Florida Panthers day as they won the match with a dominating performance winning the match 5-0. This was the 31st game of the Florida Panthers while the Philadelphia Flyers played the 35th game of the campaign.
Flyers started off stronger of the two sides firing shots on goal right from the start and displaying some excellent passing. They combined very well that resulted in the players coming across scoring opportunities.
However, the home team failed to capitalize from the chances they got and didn’t score any goals during the course of the period. It was the Florida Panthers who was stronger towards the end of the period. The away side managed to pile up attacks and scored
in the 18th minute to take the lead of the match with goals scored by Bill Thomas from a decent strike.
The away side continued to press on and caught the Philadelphia Flyers defence off guard and scored in the 20th minute once again to double the lead. The goal was scored by Evgeny Dadonov as the period ended with the Panthers led 2-0 at the end
of the 20 minutes of play.

The 2nd period was when the Florida Panthers won in terms of productivity. The home team again had their share of the chances but failed to convert them into goals. The early part of the period undoubtedly belonged to the Panthers and they scored

The final period was evenly matched with only the difference that the Florida Panthers scored in the 12th minute to take the score to 5-0 with a goal scored by Dmitry Kulikov. No further goals were scored as the Panthers won the match with each
team making 10 goal attempts respectively.
