NHL: Top 5 ruthless players

The National Hockey League (NHL) is a sports association, which has had literally hundreds of brutal on-court fights, including one-on-ones and at times two whole teams clashing into each other. The league has claimed a large audience over the years because of their relentless fights. NHL enthusiasts not only hope to watch their favourite teams play against their rivals but also look forward to raging war between the teams, and NHL certainly delivers it every year.
Dropping the gloves in NHL is like washing your hands before every meal, it is as common as that. Lethal fights seem to facet each year between players and teams in the NHL. It is also a major common topic between fans and pundits. A player holding his Hockey stick up like a sword and ready to thrash his enemy is in the DNA of hockey, it cannot be changed. As long as players are not hiding knuckle dusters underneath their gloves it is all acceptable.
This list will provide the top 5 scrappers in the NHL till date:
Cam Janssen was drafted 8 years ago by the New Jersey Devils as the 117th pick overall, since then he has built up a notorious image of himself and his opponents think twice before messing with him. He is as tough as superman and swift like flash. Cam certainly knows his role as a right winger; he has been suspended five times consecutively in the past five years due to major fights. He is one tough contender to play against and has made a significant mark in his team to be one of the most defensive and loyal players when it comes to this team. You mess with his teammate; you are more likely to get a thrashing from him. Cam weighs 210 pounds and stands at 5feet 11inches.
George Parros plays for the Anaheim Ducks who can not only throw a punch like Mohammad Ali, but is as smart. George did his bachelors in Economics from Princeton University; NHL pundits say the player must have joined a boxing training during spring break, because he certainly knows how to beat the h**l out of someone. George was built like a fireplug and as tough as lion. George weighs 222 pounds and stands at 6feet 5inches.
Boston Bruins big dog, Shawn Thornton is a Canadian native and has played for the Chicago BlackHawks and Anaheim Ducks before coming to the Bruins. Shawn is a player who lacks skills but his stamina and work ethic weighs in and makes up for it. He is known to be a vicious contender, his physical style of play and aptitude towards the opposing team is just to push through the defence and get in until he scores. Shawn has fought with more than 4 players in past two years, players such as Andrew Alberts, John Erskine, Georges Laraque, Matt Cooke and Colton Orr. Shawn weighs 217 pounds and stands at 6feet 2 inches.
Matt Carkner made his debut in the 2001 with the Montreal Canadiens, but has not appeared in more than three seasons with the NHL. Carkner joined the Ottawa Senators in 2008-2009 season; startling them with his versatility as a player. Matt originally plays as a defenseman but can also play as a forward. Matt is famous for his rivalry against Colton Orr, he entered into a brutal fight with Colton for the first time in late November of 2009 and since then has clashed with him more than three, in almost every game they have played against each other. Matt weighs 231 pounds and stands at 6feet 4inches.
Colton Orr is an undrafted player who came to the league in 2002 and played for the New York Rangers briefly, hopped into the Boston Bruins and then finally landed into the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2009. Colton is like the bogey man of NHL, he comes and attacks you when least expected, his sheer size has helped him dominate the players in league. He is absolutely a beast of man and has engaged into brutal fist fights with a variety of players. Colton has fought with Matt Carkner, Eric Boulton, Jody Shelley and Brian McGrattan over a period of only three years; consequently there are a number of players in the league who long for an opportunity to throw a punch on his face.
