NHL: When the playoffs started what two teams did you choose to make it to the cup?

I thought it was gonna be the Habs vs. The Ducks. Not that I like either of them just felt that...guess I was wrong?

Pens-Wings is gonna be a sloberknocker!!!

I actually picked Detroit and Pittsburgh, although I preferred Detroit vs. New York or Montreal.  AND I confess that my prediction was not overly confident, since I thought there were about 8 teams with a legitimate shot.

My biased pick was Bruins vs. Sharks (I'm a B's fan)...my unbiased pick was actually the Pens to play the Sharks...the Penguins look good and I think they will beat the Red Wings to win it all.

At the begining of the season I picked San Jose and Ottawa with San Jose winning.

Begining of the playoffs I stayed with San Jose, but swapped Ottawa for Philadelphia.

Now I'm picking Wings, so expect the Penguins to win in 4.

Of course I picked the Wings but I didn't have the Pens I had the Habs in there for this.  But with the way Fleury played in goal he really made it happen for them, most everyone had to assume that Crosby and Malkin would be able to perform so the fact that the netminder problem in Pitt was resolved with Fleury's stellar play changed everything.

I was going Sharks v. Flyers.  Nabokov and the Sharks just couldn't get the rhythm they were looking for and Biron for the Flyers was the man for most of their run.  Pens v. Wings should be a good series too,  Detroit has a stonger physical attitude but the Pens can handle a puck like no one else... should be fun!

The Flyers most definitely I didn't pick another team but I thought it would be all about the Flyers.  But I think they have made a remarkable come back even so.

I 'picked' the Wings because they are my team, but thought the Sharks were on a roll at the right time and might actually go the distance.  

East, I didn't have a real clue, thought the New York Rangers looked good in games I saw.

I thought it would be the Red Wings versus the Canadiens and I wanted it to be the Red Wings versus the Flyers, but I'm glad it's the Wings versus the Penguins. The series should be very exciting.

I predicted either the rangers or the penguins vs the sharks in the finals.  I knew the only team that could beat the rangers would be the pens, and they did.

I had Anaheim beating Detroit in round 3

I had Ottawa beating Pittsburgh in round 1

As both teams lost in round 1, I've had to look or new teams to support.

I do think that this has the ability to be the best Stanley Cup final since Detroit/Philly in  1997

well from the beginning of the season i bet my brother that the red wings and lakers are going to win this year.

but at the start of the playoffs i really wanted a pens-flames finals...and now only one of those teams is going all the way. i picked those two because i really wanted them to win the stanley cup this year. my head/reason is all for detroit to win this year, but my heart was really into a pens flames final. lol. how wrong i was. granted for the past 10 years i always have the flames/oilers going to the sc finals for the west, and the habs/leafs going for the east. i pick canadian teams to win all the time (minus the sens-hate them, and the vanucks always destroy their oppertunities).

so either way two teams i like will be playing. it'll be fun even if it's all american.
