1. you cant blame a player when a team is willing to give you $10million to play. If teams are going to pay you i would have no problem taking it. But i will say Malkin if he gets the $9 million that could be on the way

2. Yashin, that bum wont take less than $4 million to come back and play. Current NHL'er Selanne, doesnt want to play half way thru, just wanted the pay cheques

3. Crosby, Ovechkin. More Ovechkin, crazy goal celebrations and always including his teammates in everything

4. Pretty much all the enforcers, they know they;re role and dont complain about it. Also Darren McCarthy comes to mind, on what happened with the bankrupcty and still wanting the drive to go for another cup.

1.) Scott Gomez.  Left the Devils for a nice fat $10 mil/year contract with the Rangers.

2.) Sean Avery/Ray Emery types.

3.) Wayne Gretzky.  He was crying when he got traded from Edmonton, saying he would never go for another contract on a different team than Mark Messier.  Except he couldn't do anything about it.  It shows he would've stayed on whatever team for whatever price to play with his buddy.

4.) Sergei Brylin of the Devils.  He's not an outstanding player, but every night he comes out for his few minutes of ice time and puts his best effort out.  He works hard, and does the little things to propel the team.  Brylin is rarely talked about.  He makes very little money for someone playing as long as he has.  But he loves the sport, and he loves the Devils.  Other than Brodeur, he's the only remaining Devil to have won all 3 Stanley Cups on the team.
