Diabetes is a serious disease.  Type 1 is not the "lowest level".  Most people with Type 1 diabetes are insulin-dependent (they have to have insulin injections).  "A little bit longer" and they will  NOT be fine.  There is no cure, yet, for diabetes.

It is,  however, manageable; the patient has to be pro-active and take care of himself/herself.

On disney channel I think he was saying that your body doesn't know how to handle the sugar. I think type 1 is the lowest level.
